Does anyone happen to have the inside scoop on this? I'm wondering if we'll actually see these titles hitting shelves here in the States...

I mean, hasn't there been enough obsessing over how Jackson handled Tolkien already? 🙄

If he had a bit more capital, he might actually stand a chance against Lucas—as it stands, he’s just sitting at number two in terms of marketability. He absolutely squeezes every single cent out of every film until there's nothing left.

This time they actually included the scene where Boromir kicks Frodo in the ass. ☕

Sure. They could just take the Lord of the Rings, slap on some flashy CGI, polish it up, and sell it to the masses...

I am quite fond of the concept of having all those extended versions compiled onto a single DVD set. Honestly, I think I might just have to pull the trigger and buy it. :S

Actually, they aren't all on one single disc—it's more like a collection where you get both the theatrical and the extended cut of Fellowship on one DVD, then Two Towers on the second, and Return of the King on the third. So, it ends up being three separate packages total.
