Kudos to Barnett. That report he dropped was absolutely brutal. Honestly, though, it didn't even surprise me that much.
Regarding that finger to the eye incident... Barnett stated—and if you actually watch the footage closely, you’ll see it—that he went to grab Mike by his right leg, and that's exactly when Mike swung his hand. Mike had pulled back slightly just as he threw the punch. If Barnett hadn't been positioned right there, Mike would've landed a massive blow. Luckily, that finger was right in the way 😬 .

It makes perfect sense why he was touching up there afterward. When someone jams a finger into your eye, you have no clue if you've actually sustained a serious injury or not. You instinctively start poking at your eye because of the pain, trying to protect it. Then, in that exact moment, some lunatic 😁 who had been pummeling him the whole time starts swinging at his head again. A guy just loses the will to keep fighting when he realizes he can't even defend himself properly 🙂 .

You guys are talking nonsense... he definitely didn't get poked in the eye. If he had, he would've been done for after four minutes. He broke down his match against Frazier perfectly fine without even a single tear in his eye. You know how it goes when you accidentally "get something" in your eye—like a finger or a pencil—you can't see straight for at least an hour because your eye won't stop watering. But Barnett? Zero symptoms of someone who just took a finger to the eyeball. I'm 100% sure about this.
