I have developed these strange white spots on my back that simply refuse to clear up, and I am at a complete loss as to what they might be. My doctor prescribed a topical cream, but predictably, it did nothing to resolve the issue.
The spots are painless and do not itch; they seem to fade during the summer months, only to resurface later.
Does anyone actually know what this is? If someone has experience with this, please share your insight and suggest how I might remove them, as even my searches online have yielded absolutely nothing.
Thank you in advance.

It could be a fungal infection, which is honestly pretty common during the summer months. Or, it might just be an allergy. Either way, you really need to go see a dermatologist as soon as possible.😉

It could actually be vitiligo. That’s just skin depigmentation.
The thing is, we aren't talking about little spots here; we're talking about patches of all different sizes.
It usually shows up on the face, in the hair, in skin folds, or around the hands and midsection.
Do some digging on an official medical site regarding vitiligo to learn more.
There isn't really a cure for it.
How do I know? Because I'm dealing with it myself.

I don't believe this is vitiligo since it's localized strictly to my back. Surely my dermatologist will be able to provide some clarity on the matter, thanks.
