Hey everyone. Does anyone here know someone who actually dealt with meningitis? I'm wondering if they ended up getting the MMR shot or maybe some other kind of vaccine beforehand.

Hey there, hello... I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out a bit..
Is it actually possible for the aftereffects of meningitis to come back?

It’d definitely be easier to give you a real answer if I had a few more details here:
-How old is the patient? Were they treated for meningitis (do we know what caused it or what meds were used?) and what kind of lingering issues are we talking about?
-When did these changes start appearing—days, weeks, months ago?—and what seems to trigger them (stress, a recent bug, just being totally burnt out)?
-Are they currently on any medications?

-Patient age is __ years old—was being treated for meningitis (what was the cause? what meds were used?) back then, leaving some lingering effects like this and that.
-Over the last __ days/weeks/months, there have been changes like this or that that seem linked to (stress, a new infection, just being burnt out...)--
-Is the patient currently taking any medications???

So, I'm 19... it was some kind of meningococcal bacteria, if I remember right... actually, it was viral meningitis... and it keeps coming back... I'm constantly under a lot of stress... and then it all recurs: sounds bother me, there's pain in the lower part of my head, my back hurts quite often too, and now the light is starting to bother me again...

How long have you been dealing with this? Five days ago, I had this pounding headache that lasted all day. I finally crawled into bed, took some Advil, and thought I was fine. Then I woke up the next morning feeling absolutely wrecked—sore throat, fever spiking somewhere between 102 and 105 degrees, a killer headache, and my neck was incredibly stiff. I went to the ER, but they basically just handed me some throat lozenges and antibiotics and sent me on my way. My fever finally broke yesterday, but this headache won't quit. Should I head back to the clinic?
