I’ve been hearing things about this Dr. Pavić guy and his eye exercises meant to fix vision issues.
There have been plenty of threads here before with people sounding genuinely interested in trying it out, so I’m really looking for some firsthand accounts from anyone who has actually gone through the therapy. From what I’ve gathered from various sources, they say you can clear up astigmatism in a day or two, but nearsightedness requires at least a month of consistent practice. We’ve already seen posts detailing the exercises for nearsightedness, so if anyone here dealt specifically with astigmatism, could you walk me through those specific movements?
I want to know what I’m actually signing up for if I decide to commit to these $1000. I’ve spent a ton of time digging online and I’m pretty well-versed in Dr. Bates’ methods—which, let’s face it, started over a century ago—but there is a massive lack of info regarding Dr. Pavić. I can't find anything on his specific success rates, failures, or actual patient improvements.
My prescription is currently -0.75 with -1 astigmatism. Most people would probably tell me it’s nothing to worry about, but honestly, I can't drive or even read subtitles without glasses. Plus, my job involves staring at a computer screen all day, and I can already feel my vision getting progressively worse.
Come on, guys, if anyone has actually done this, please hit me with some details!

I’ve gotta say, I’m always a little skeptical when it comes to these newfangled gadgets. Honestly? You might just be throwing money down the drain. But hey—why stress about it if your prescription isn't even that bad? For me, my vision jumped to -2.5 with +0.5 astigmatism within just three years—so, yeah, a bit of a jump—but I switched over to soft contact lenses and I couldn't be happier. Seriously, just give it a shot!

It’s just not the same..
Without glasses, she's just—without them..
It’s pure comfort, if nothing else... showering, swimming, sleeping, waking up, hitting the gym...
My daughter’s quality of life has completely transformed since she ditched the glasses and contacts (she used to be forced to wear them constantly)..
Some people will say, "just adapt to it." Well, she spent decades trying to adapt, only to realize science had better answers. Now? She couldn't be happier about the change..
Personally, I don't buy into any of those "pseudo-medical" gimmicks; I’m a traditionalist at heart, so I'll be interested to see if anyone here actually has a concrete argument to convince me otherwise..

My wife has actually seen a total transformation since she stopped wearing both glasses and contacts (she used to be forced to wear hard lenses constantly)...
Some might argue you should just "train" your eyes, but she spent decades trying that and eventually gave up on the whole idea. Now, she's incredibly happy with the results.

I actually agree with you because I deal with the exact same thing. I’ve been stuck in glasses since the fifth grade. For years, I cycled through soft contacts, then semi-hard ones, and now I’ve gone right back to glasses because my eyes were constantly bloodshot and the irritation from contact lenses was just unbearable.

So, what did your wife actually do? Did she have surgery, or did she go see Pavica?

Could someone please drop a link to that previous thread where those specific exercises were described? Thanks.

Look, I already said we’re traditionalists about this stuff—the surgery was four years ago. She went from a -7.00 with heavy astigmatism down to basically zero. They warned her that things might shift a bit as she gets older, but so far, nothing has changed. She just had her follow-up checkup last month and everything looks perfect. ¤

Could you send me a private message regarding which hospital she went to for her surgery? I'm wondering if it was here in the States or somewhere abroad.

I actually dropped by that Pavić guy's "office"—it’s just some totally ordinary apartment in a building somewhere over in suburban Chicago; he does his "lectures" in the dining room and handles the consultations in the living room. The guy comes off as really shady and dim, and he's flanked by these two women who are smiling way too much, like they're plastered on. My gut told me something was off, so I bailed before the "lecture" even started. No regrets—I think my intuition was spot on.

And that’s basically the whole story... nobody seems to have any "real" firsthand experience with this. I actually got curious after seeing that segment on ABC, even if it did seem a little sketchy to me. So now I’m just down a rabbit hole, digging through the internet to find something solid, but I haven't stumbled onto anything concrete yet.

So, about six months ago when I was in for my checkup, I actually asked my ophthalmologist about that whole method. Honestly? She wasn't exactly sold on it. Her take was that the results aren't permanent, which totally makes sense to me. From what I can gather, you’re basically just training the muscle, and once you stop, it’s just going to relax right back to how it was. Which means you're stuck coming back for sessions constantly—which is just a massive money pit! 😉

I cannot say for certain whether this individual is simply trying to pull the wool over my eyes—it is quite possible this is the first time I have even encountered his claims—but to me, the idea of $0.00does not seem particularly significant when one considers the sheer amount of money being poured into contact lenses, designer eyewear, and various other optical gadgets.
Generally speaking, I find myself leaning much more toward traditional, old-fashioned methods...
That article regarding visual perception was actually quite enlightening and provided some genuine value...
