So, I had this whole plan yesterday afternoon to actually get some work done—you know, catching up on articles, hitting those looming deadlines, the usual grind—and then hit a concert later that night. But once I started just spacing out and procrastinating all afternoon, I basically told myself I wasn't allowed to go out and decided to stay in and grind through the evening instead. Naturally, I ended up doing absolutely nothing but messing around at home all night. Everything just got pushed to today. Now, it’s such a beautiful day out that the last thing I want to do is sit here staring at a keyboard... Honestly, I’m seriously tempted to just hop in the car, go for a long, mindless drive through the Appalachian Mountains, grab the best pizza on the planet somewhere near Indianapolis, and only then come back to deal with this writing nightmare.

Nah, heading up to the Appalachian Mountains isn't a great call right now. We just got hit with a fresh dump of snow overnight, so it’s probably better to stay at a lower elevation...

I'm hoping to snag a badge myself too!!

😁

First, we should probably look at "certain" individuals with special merits, right? We touched on that during our last meeting... 😬 they'll likely just sell it to you for a massive profit... 😁 😉

I really wanted to make it out tonight, but the craving for a good burger won out instead.

How’s the scene looking? Anything changed with the sides or the vibe? Is Killer still drowning everything in insane amounts of hot sauce and chili?

What a disaster of a concert. Nobody played any Ramones. Not even AC/DC...

It hasn't opened yet, but luckily the place over by Whole Foods is open just a hundred meters away. Honestly, that guy is ripping people off on meat prices, he can't even whip up a decent sauce, and he actually heats flatbread in a microwave. I'm heading out to grab lunch...

Zero really caught me by surprise in the best way possible—and honestly, the crew over at Death Inc. absolutely crushed it. I was loving every second of it... 🙂

Of course the ones with special merits go first. 😬

they said $1.75 🙂

Zero, it would have been great for me... if there was just a bit more noise. I haven't seen Death Inc. yet. 😢

Zero: Toward the end—specifically those last three tracks—things really picked up the pace and got much more interesting. Everything before that felt a bit... meh. By the way, is it worth listening to Ride? Because some of these elements definitely had that vibe going on... 😁

crknidisko: Give GirlUWant an extra 20 points for that New Wave sound 😁 I gave them my honest feedback in person. Otherwise 👍

And I’m glad Diklić was there—it was great meeting Hrnić in person through him after getting to know everyone else last night. So, yeah. 😁

Don't be like that. If you keep talking like this, every indie-loving lightweight out there is going to start swarming Naramtx, leaving the rest of the true enthusiasts high and dry... 😬

Zero's bio is actually pretty solid, but I think I’m still gonna complain—just because they really ought to trim it down a bit...

Back when Ded Disco was absolutely killing it 🙂, man, those were the days. I honestly miss that energy from back when they played their first show at The Fillmore
.
The new version is 🙂

The only thing worth mentioning there is that butterfly—it’s absolute trash. That bamboo? It's probably like $2.00. :2up:

I wish they’d just run that concert back next Friday—everything else is a total wash.

Death Inc. is incredible. Are they dropping any shirts? I really need to refresh my wardrobe.

Honestly, I had an absolute blast yesterday too... though I’m still struggling to decide which act actually won me over. Both bands were incredible—👍, plus the orange group was 🙏 and 🙂
.
+ I have to give a shoutout to the sound quality, and a massive thank you to all the tall folks in the crowd. Because of them, my view was basically just a sea of orange heads and Lilywhite’s hair whenever anyone tried to jump. Also, kudos to the smokers who managed to light up in such a cramped, suffocating space... 😠
.
++ A little bathroom anecdote for you: right after Man Zero finished, two girls were dissecting the set. One of them goes, "They were so boring, and honestly, that didn't even sound like ambient psychobilly..." 🤣 Maybe that "Elvis" bit threw her off... 🙂

Haha! Actually, on the blog, we mentioned how this young heavy metal fan congratulated the drummer at the Chicago Cubs venue after the show, saying, "I'd define that more as rockabilly—maybe somewhere between that and psychobilly." 🤣

Tom and Izzy have nothing.
Look; they don't even have any beer.
