Seriously though, thanks for this incredible 4th-grade biology lesson. Truly.

You’re not gonna believe this—maybe you skipped 3rd grade?—but fruit development is straight-up dictated by the genetic material baked into it from the start. If weed messed with the father's fertility (which it does, obviously), then the odds of conception drop. But if the baby actually gets conceived, then we're looking at a whole different ballgame—stuff scientists are still sweating over—like how the fetus develops and what the long-term fallout looks like...

As for your post, which honestly missed the mark by a mile... you were just whining about how parents can't stay clean during pregnancy. Like, the pregnant woman didn't even touch an onion, let alone smell one. And the idea that what the dad eats, drinks, or smokes after conception doesn't matter? Unless he's blowing smoke right in her face, it's a non-issue. I don't think anyone else has ever bothered to point that out before...

wearywolf31 hit the nail on the head with my question. What I’m really getting at is this: if conception happens after the father has used marijuana, is there any actual damage to the "genetic" material? Specifically, could that lead to developmental issues during pregnancy or even long-term effects once the baby is born—things like allergies or other health hurdles? To be clear, I'm not talking about someone smoking while pregnant or being around smoke during pregnancy; I'm strictly asking about the father's usage prior to conception.

Thanks.

THC can actually hang around in your system for up to six months after you last use it.
All I know for sure is that smoking weed can mess with male fertility, but I've been wondering if it also tanks sperm quality...
We definitely have to consider the fact that the stuff people are smoking these days is roughly 30 times more potent than what was being smoked back in the 60s—mostly because of all those different additives they use to boost it nowadays...
