I just saw the trailer for πŸ™‚ at the AMC, and honestly, it looks pretty solid, though the online reviews aren't exactly glowing. Has anyone by any chance caught it yet?

I accidentally typed a 'c' instead of an 's' in my title 😳, and now I'm stuckβ€”I can't edit the subject line or even delete the thread. 😒

I’m just sitting here waiting for those guys in China to finally get over it... CT, HD, then Hero, it’s all the same old crap... 😒

To movie was just way too freaky for me..
I'd much rather watch stuff like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Mulan, or classics like Zatoichi and Seven Samurai.. there are plenty of better options out there, if you ask me.

Personally, I think The Promise holds its own quite well against those other films mentioned.
I’ve always had a massive soft spot for the wuxia genre, so most movies in this style tend to land well with me.
That first showdown between Kunlun and Snow Wolf was particularly incredible...

Also, Seven Swords is an excellent filmβ€”it's much more impressive than the brief synopsis would lead you to believe.

Even if they slash the prices, is the next "big thing" really going to be any better? From what I can gather, those studios are experts at manufacturing dramaβ€”and I mean high-quality drama, provided you aren't exclusively watching their latest blockbusters.
