PDF improvement tips: Student corner

Hey there.😉

I just wanted to drop by and warn you about how much of a joke this subforum has become.
The student services section, moderated by Lady Gaga, Jose Johnson79, and Mr. Tambourine Man who hasn't even made a single post on that specific board.

Look, first off, I don't really care how those three ended up in their positions. I'm strictly talking about how they actually manage things over there.

First is the moderator Jose Johnson79, who—I'll try to be polite here—really doesn't seem to know anything about colleges, high school, or standardized testing.😉
I know her personally, so I know what I'm saying. She's just not qualified for this subforum, honestly.🙂
Plus, since she became a moderator, she's only active there once a week.🙂
I won't even get into how she hands out warnings, because I guess you guys have already seen through the complaint desk that she basically just does whatever she feels like and hands out penalties whenever.

Second is Lady Gaga, who happens to be Jose Johnson79's best friend.
I know her personally too, which is why I'm being blunt. It's almost laughable that Lady Gaga became a moderator just a month after Jose Johnson79 did.
But whatever, fine. I'm just complaining about her actual work.
On a thread about "fairness," a user named Gademz posted maybe 5 or 6 times using nothing but emojis—basically just trolling. Lady Gaga deleted it, but you can check for yourselves. For those 5 or 6 troll posts, Gademz got a 30-point penalty.
The very next day, I went in there and wrote "screw you all," which was my one and only post in that thread, and I got a warning for trolling worth 35 points.
His 5 or 6 troll posts cost him 30 points, while my single troll post cost me 35 points.🙂
Later that same day, Gademz did the exact same thing he did the day before, and of course, she banned him, because it would be too obvious if she were being unfair—which she clearly is.🙂
It’s not even the fact that Gademz got 30 points for 6 trolls; it’s that I got 35 points for just one post on the same day he got his.
So, yeah. That's how "equal" things are on this forum.🙂

The third moderator, like I said, has zero posts on that subforum. Actually, he's never even been active in that section. He was born in '91, so I guess you can judge for yourself how much he knows about college stuff like midterms, essays, seminars, lectures, or deadlines.🙂

Anyway, that's my quick observation regarding the student services subforum. I hope I'm helping you pick the right people to run it. If you need my help choosing, feel free to ask. I'll help.
We've worked well together so far, so I don't see why that should change.😉

P.S. Just to be clear, I'm not whining or throwing a tantrum. This is me trying to help you, and by extension, myself, so that student services can be anything but what it is today.

If that was your only post in the thread, you’re lucky I’m not the moderator there. You would've been hit with an immediate 7-day custom ban from the whole site and a partial ban from that subforum.

With that kind of language and attitude, you'd get laughed out of a bar, and honestly, emojis can be annoying sometimes, but they aren't even in the same league as telling people to go screw themselves.

You're just rude and uneducated, and you don't belong on any serious forum, especially one dedicated to students and school life. You can talk like that at home, but when you step out into the world (even online), you should act with some decency.

Your little complaint is like someone whining because a cop gave them a lecture for crossing the street instead of just throwing them in jail and slapping them with a massive fine.

So, the admins could basically reprimand the moderators for being too soft on rule-breakers, fix their mistake, and just ban you for 7 days like you actually earned.

And besides, moderators don't necessarily need to post; they just need to keep the discussion at a decent level. If this mod is really an '91 baby, he probably knows more about deadlines and seminars than someone from the 70s.😉
