I was wondering if there's actually any way to protect your eyes from weakening or developing myopia.
In what kind of ways??

Once you finally figure out your prescription, try wearing contacts if you can. It might actually stop your eyesight from getting worse.

like, how??

Look, when you're reading or watching TV, just back up. Give your eyes some breathing room so you aren't straining like crazy.
Don't be glued to the screen two feet away—stay at least 13 feet back. And if you're hitting the books, keep 'em about 24 inches from your face 👋 (or maybe 30-35 inches for a computer setup)

That isn't a requirement...

Or at least slow down the progression. 😉
