hm... personally, I’d say his best work is "New Adventures in Hi-Fi"—though obviously, *Murmur* is in a league of its own—but honestly, there's at least three albums before and after that one that are absolute garbage... unless you count *Automatic*

True, New Adventures is criminally underrated; fundamentally, it’s an excellent album.

But that previous one—the one I won't even name without spitting on the floor—is the reason they shouldn't have just broken up, but should have actually faced trial for releasing one of the worst musical disasters in history.

Hmm. The more I listen to it, the more I find myself loving that "cold" production style—it just fits the material so well. In fact, I've started thinking that the "Fear of Music" sound might not even suit this one. Plus, the remaster from the vinyl release sounds absolutely fantastic.

Offense: Lee Ving, John Lydon (I think we can all agree on that one without much explanation)
Midfield: Guy Picciotto, Mike Patton, Steve Albini, Jimmy Page (Page is obviously a seasoned pro, and Patton can play just about any role and keeps things organized, though I had to slot Albini in somewhere just so he wouldn't be sitting on the bench—plus, Picciotto looks like he'd be dancing around like a maniac)
Defense: Bob Mould, Grant Hart, Stephen Merritt, Darby Crash (Honestly, if I were facing them, I think anyone with a shred of common sense would be terrified)
