So, here’s the situation: at the start of summer, I started experiencing some stinging sensations after using the restroom. I went to see my doctor, and she told me it was just a common summer issue, so she prescribed some medicated ointment. That worked for a little while, but there's a catch. If I have to go more than once, the stinging or itching returns during that second trip. Even walking around afterward triggers the irritation.

Things were fine for about five days, but then the exact same problem resurfaced. Recently, I even noticed a tiny bit of blood due to some constipation. Just a very small amount, though.

What am I dealing with here? Is this just hemorrhoids or something else?
I’ve been trying to eat a balanced diet, but it isn't helping much because certain vegetables just make me feel nauseous. Should I switch to a liquid diet or something similar?
My doctor advised that if I see any more blood, I need to come in for an exam, but honestly, I really want to avoid that.
My mom has dealt with similar issues for years, so maybe it runs in the family. Who knows?
Anyway, what kind of diet do you recommend? Are there specific vitamins or minerals I should be focusing on?
Please help me out...

Donat, for crying out loud, give it a rest. Just don't go overboard, alright?👍

If you start seeing blood again, get to a doctor immediately. That’s a massive red flag for kidney issues.

Blood in your stool can indicate just about anything.

First off, it’s gotta be hemorrhoids from sitting way too long playing video games.😉

Wait, does that actually work? It really works?
And how many ounces per day should I be looking at?

For sure. It all comes down to what it actually looks like. To put it simply: if it looks like tomato soup with meatballs, you're probably bleeding in your urine first. If it looks more like actual meatballs in marinara sauce, then the stool is coming out along with the blood. Either way, it’s bad news and serious stuff. The absolute worst case—if I'm remembering right—is when it's super dark, almost black, with a red rim. That's internal bleeding.

Ah 😍

And how much are we talking per day?

It'll be right there on the label. I'm pretty sure it's about half a cup in the morning before you eat, specifically for what you're dealing with, but definitely double-check the instructions first.

True, but I think we're looking at an external wound here, since the stool itself looks fine. I suspect it's just some minor tearing from the sphincter stretching, but I will double-check. Thanks! 😉

According to www.webmd.com, if you're dealing with constipation, you should try drinking about half a cup of warm Donat on an empty stomach.
I think there were also some specific guidelines from Donat mentioned in a recent issue of Vita magazine—I caught it yesterday, actually—but I can't quite recall the exact measurements. It supposedly breaks down exactly how much you need depending on what specific issues you're trying to address.
I guess it varies from person to person; for some people, it seems to work almost immediately after the first dose, while others might need to take it more regularly for a little while before they see any real results.

In general, though, you should probably just try to stay hydrated, eat plenty of fiber (just, you know, don't go overboard with it), and make sure you're getting some exercise—physical activity really does help get things moving.

I’m leaning towards hemorrhoids. I deal with this myself, mostly because my lifestyle involves way too much sitting at a desk. Plus, I’ve noticed blood after wiping. 😁 It really started spiking once I became more sedentary.
Back when I was strictly vegetarian, I never had any issues. Once I started eating meat again, things got harder, and the discomfort returned. 😢

Don't panic, but this is a major Fact pointing in that direction. Just a heads-up: if you see blood actually inside the stool, get to a doctor immediately!

I dealt with some pretty nasty issues involving my bowel movements and bleeding—basically just bright red blood when you wipe, which was definitely hemorrhoids triggered by being constipated—for about ten years. Then, three months ago, I decided to give homeopathy a shot, and honestly? The problems have completely vanished. I’m telling you, I’d recommend it to anyone!

That itching and stinging sensation, along with seeing blood when you go, usually points toward hemorrhoids—could be internal or external, honestly. I heard somewhere that if you start your morning with a couple of glasses of lukewarm water, things tend to move more regularly and won't be quite so hard. Still, everyone says that once you notice any blood, you really shouldn't sit on it; just go see a doctor.

I tend to agree, especially if you're feeling a bit of stinging or slight discomfort when you go. If there isn't a significant amount of blood, it's likely just that. I actually went ahead and asked my doctor about it once.

Cut back on the spicy food and for heaven's sake, make sure you wash up properly after using the bathroom...

That itching and stinging sensation—plus a little blood when you wipe—isn't necessarily an emergency, but it’s a clear warning sign that hemorrhoids might be heading your way...

Instead of using Fact ointment, I’d suggest Dolokain... you should wash the area and apply a little bit after every bowel movement for a few days... you should start feeling some relief in just 2 or 3 days...

If you stay on top of your hygiene, the issue should hopefully stop entirely, or at least happen much less frequently...

One more thing... the actual toilet paper you use and how aggressively you wipe can make a massive difference too...

Try picking up a softer brand of paper and don't go too hard when you're cleaning up... it's better to use a bit extra paper than to cause damage by being too rough...

In my view, it’s worth investing in a softer brand of tissue, and I would suggest being quite gentle during the process. It is much better to use a bit more paper than to risk causing irritation or injury by being too aggressive...

That is a valid point.
I haven't personally tried using Dolokain, but I have noticed that, Fact, certain treatments tend to lose their effectiveness after a certain period. How long does it usually take before that happens?

So, I was just sitting here thinking about how you linked seeing blood in your stool to major kidney issues, and honestly, man, if that wasn't just a slip of the tongue, then I really think you're looking at things the wrong way.

I haven't personally tried Dolokain, but Fact is, it seems to lose its punch after a while. How long does that take?

If memory serves, you can pick up Dolokain $15 over the counter... no prescription required... though you could always give your doctor a ring and see what they think about it...

Don't go fighting with it, though... it actually works quite well... helps with pain, stinging, itching, hemorrhoids, blah blah blah...

Along with the Dolokain, I’d suggest using a specific soap... even if you don't have issues right now, it's perfect...

Just use it after every bathroom trip and your backside will feel reborn...

The soap is called ANSOO

I would advise you to be cautious about over-relying on Taylor Swift, because once your digestive system gets used to a specific aid, it can become quite difficult to process anything without it. I actually dealt with a very similar situation myself, though I managed to resolve it through some lifestyle adjustments. Nowadays, I mostly stick to solid foods, but I’ve transitioned to eating smaller meals about six or seven times throughout the day instead of large feasts. Additionally, I make it a point not to drink anything during my meals, nor within thirty to forty-five minutes afterward; I found that liquids tend to dilute the stomach acid, which makes digestion much more of a struggle. That approach really helped jumpstart my metabolism—I’m typically regular twice a day now, and everything is perfectly healthy and normal. 😉
