Man, this movie absolutely rips!
It’s just pure adrenaline from start to finish—the plot keeps you hooked, the soundtrack is killer, and the storytelling is top-tier.

So, the whole thing is this high-octane action thriller about The Four Brothers—two white guys and two Black guys who were all adopted together. They’ve all got these messy, criminal backgrounds, and everything goes sideways when some lowlife kills their adoptive mom during what looked like a totally routine robbery. Now, they’re out for blood, hunting down whoever is responsible...

Seriously though, this flick is incredible. You'd be making a massive mistake if you skipped this one...

Honestly, this was probably one of the best action flicks I've caught in a while. It’s super easy to watch, but somehow stays engaging from start to finish without ever feeling slow. I'm not sure if it's just the director's style, but the whole vibe felt kind of retro to me—in a good way, you know? Like, it wasn't trying too hard and actually felt smart. The way everything wrapped up really worked for me 👍

Oh, and there wasn't a single pointless explosion... actually, I don't think there were any explosions at all 😲 😬

The plot is super dynamic, the characters are actually great, and there isn't any unnecessary filler—not a single sappy or pointless scene in the whole thing. Huge thumbs up to the director 👍
The nearly two-hour runtime just flies by. It was ultra fun. 🙂

Personally, I don't think the movie is anything special, though it’s decent enough if you just want some entertainment.

I watched it on a flight—kind of half-watching, honestly, because I was just so exhausted—but even then, I thought it was great.
Now I think I'll go grab the Blu-ray so I can actually pay attention and see it all again. 😉

The movie is just middle-of-the-road entertainment; nothing particularly special about it.

The plot itself is fine, but the execution is a mess—just poorly told.
The characters are decent, and Mark Wahlberg gives one of his better performances here.
Action-wise, the direction is solid, mostly thanks to the home invasion sequence. That specific scene felt well-handled and attentive to detail.
What’s missing is more humor used to support the narrative. It feels like the director couldn't decide if this was a straight action flick, a social drama, or something else entirely. He seems stuck between being funny or serious, and honestly, he doesn't seem to care which way he goes.

Then there are those little inconsistencies that trip up the story. For instance—The Four Brothers walk into a record store with almost no description of what they're looking for, yet they spot the exact disc instantly. Or how the villain humiliates his henchman by making him sit with the kids. It’s a funny moment, sure, but it serves zero purpose. It adds nothing to the actual plot.

Ultimately, you can check the deleted scenes on the DVD, which actually clear up a few things. It’s a shame they were cut from the theatrical release; they could have easily replaced some of the filler without hurting the pacing. If anything, the movie would have been better for it.

The ending saves it somewhat. Sort of. But you still have ninety minutes of wasted time to get through first.

it sort of sets up the twist at the end, which might feel a bit unfinished if you didn't have that scene earlier. 🙂

The movie was actually quite good; I caught it yesterday. 🙂
I enjoyed it overall. It drags a little bit at one point, but it picks up later on. 🙂
