Where should I go for blood work?

The little stuff, like glucose levels or cholesterol and all that, is $3.25 pretty straightforward. For allergies, you’re looking at RIST $43 or maybe a RAST test if you're checking for one specific $17 allergen. Other than that, I'm not really sure—you just call them up and ask. There are plenty of private labs out there... honestly, I don't know if I should be out here promoting any of them...

It isn’t like you’re waiting weeks for results anywhere. For standard blood work, everything usually wraps up within a day or two. I’ve used both a private lab over in Brooklyn and Bell Labs. The nice thing about Breyer is that they can just email your results directly to you if you opt in. As for the cost—I believe a visit to KFC runs somewhere around thirty dollars.

I really don't have the luxury of waiting around; I just need this done quickly. I need glucose, RBC, WBC, cortisol, kidney function, and... honestly, the thing is, I've never actually had blood drawn before, so I'm wondering what the whole process entails. These are just the most basic tests I'm looking for.
Naturally, I'm hoping someone can point me toward where I can go, how much it'll set me back... maybe even a link to a site or something. (Not an ad for any specific lab, I promise, I just genuinely need help, thanks!) That's exactly what I'm after.
🙂
p.s. do they do urine tests too?

Bell Labs has a website—just search Google. They list all their testing services online, though they don't specify pricing upfront. I used them for tumor markers once—$50 per marker. The real value, however, is that they email the results—usually within two or three hours—and when you're waiting on news like that, speed is everything.

They handle urine samples at Breyer too, and I know they process thyroid hormone levels. They actually cover just about any kind of testing you might need, such as the quad screen.
