I managed to sort myself out just by switching to the zone diet 👍
Though, honestly, I've been on Yasmin for ages—maybe once I finally quit, I won't even have to try this hard anymore.

Honestly, this part is worth quoting—it's definitely worth reading again.

Maybe we should check a 🙏-a
too...

🙂

so bad...

this is just awful...

This post is completely useless. Is that seriously the smartest thing you can come up with?

I mean, what else can I say when you mention you're already 30?
Did you actually go through the instruction manual?
Are you chatting with your OB-GYN about this?
Have you been back for a checkup since you started the pills?
You really shouldn't be asking these kinds of questions after five years on birth control and being in your 30s.

Your best bet is to head straight to the doctor and get some real answers. None of us "internet doctors" on this forum can truly help you through a screen. 😁

Look, there's nothing left to say except go see a doctor and get it cleared up. None of these "internet doctors" on a forum can actually help you through a screen.😁

Just as a reminder: this forum, especially under the Health section, exists specifically for asking questions and comparing experiences. There shouldn't be any sense of shame or embarrassment about not knowing something. Honestly, if you don't get that, maybe don't post here. On a side note, I've had way too many run-ins with doctors who turned out to have no clue about the basics and gave me completely wrong advice that ended up hurting me. So, even though I have zero medical training, I have every right to ask whatever I want without dealing with idiotic, unnecessary comments. Thanks.

So, you mentioned having some bad experiences with doctors before. I totally get that. But here’s what I’d suggest: grab your pill pack and really dive into the fine print, especially the instructions on how to take them. Usually, these things are meant to be taken once a day at the exact same time—not just right before you're intimate. So, the timing of your actual relationship doesn't really matter in that sense. If you've only been taking them sporadically when you think you might need them, there's a real chance it's thrown your hormones out of whack. If any of this sounds confusing, please just pick up the phone and call your gynecologist. Honestly, I'd recommend sitting down with your doctor to go over all these issues; they might even suggest switching to a different brand, but definitely don't try to switch things up on your own...

Where I live, my options for gynecologists are pretty much non-existent. The last time I went to see one about some hormonal issues, she ordered a bunch of tests. When I went back with the results, she basically told me everything looked perfectly normal (if you can even call it that). The thing is, I was dealing with sudden breakouts all over my face and my hair was thinning out, which really had me worried. So, I took those exact same lab results to a local pharmacist—someone with a seriously solid reputation in town—and he practically crossed himself in disbelief. He told me straight up that the specific hormones I had tested had absolutely nothing to do with the symptoms I was actually experiencing. Now, he’s prescribed me some herbal tea and some pills to help with water retention, so we'll just have to wait and see if that actually works.

But when I took those exact same results to a local pharmacist (who has a pretty solid reputation), the guy practically crossed himself and told me that the hormones I had tested had absolutely nothing to do with what I was going through. Look, sorry if I sound harsh or whatever, that's just how I am—not trying to be mean at all. What I was trying to get at is that it’s honestly wild that someone who's 30 and has been on birth control for years knows so little about the pills or how their own body actually works.

I feel for you regarding the lack of doctors nearby, I really do, but please—for your own sake—go see a real specialist! No gynecologist with half a brain who actually cares about their patients would let someone take Yasmin for five straight years... which, by the way, isn't even just "contraception," it's a serious hormonal medication for a serious condition. Any side effects you're dealing with after five years of Yasmin are a big deal. Please don't just take whatever some "reputable pharmacist" hands you... go find a legitimate, professional doctor, explain everything you're feeling, and follow a real medical plan.

And I really hope you aren't taking this personally, but I just found what you wrote in your first post so incredibly strange... 🙂
