What's your all-time favorite movie genre?

For me, it’s always gonna be comedies, hands down, because they just know how to put me in a damn good mood🙂 😁

I haven't really gotten into sci-fi or documentaries yet, mostly just because I haven't sat through enough of them to get hooked😢

I honestly don't have a preference when it comes to genres; it really just boils down to my mood and who I happen to be hanging out with at the moment...

I used to be such a sucker for horror movies, but these days? My tastes have shifted quite a bit. Now, I find myself much more drawn to a gripping thriller or a heavy-hitting drama.👍

Sci-fi horror 🙏

I've always had a soft spot for a solid thriller or a gritty crime drama. For me, nothing beats that tension... I can't stand those goofy parodies like American Horror Story. The humor just feels so forced. And action movies? Not really my thing.

Any movie recommendations? 🤔

Sci-fi has always been my go-to, though I’ll watch just about anything if the quality is actually there. The one thing I absolutely HATE is romantic comedies or that kind of garbage.

Sci-fi horror and thrillers... specifically anything involving an abandoned vessel, a remote base, a research station, or maybe something underwater, at the North Pole, or out in deep space where they stumble upon some shocking discovery. To me, that’s 🙏 🙂

I also have a real affinity for films—whether they are war movies, crime dramas, or just character studies—that maintain a purely observational perspective. I prefer when a film doesn't try too hard to push a specific message or manipulate my opinion; I want the camera to simply capture reality and leave it up to me to draw my own conclusions.

Oh, and I definitely have a soft spot for trashy horror comedies featuring zombies, motorcycles, and plenty of over-the-top gore... 😬

Maybe some sci-fi adventures—you know, along the lines of Conan the Barbarian—where you have strong women just absolutely running the show and ruling the world. 😉 😉 😁
Or perhaps something more romantic? I mean, those melodramas where a woman is fighting for her rights, or maybe battling for love... those types of stories set in the Middle Ages are quite captivating, don't you think? 😁 😁 😁 😉 😉 😉 Or even Westerns, something with that Calamity Jane or Butch Cassidy flair.
Personally, I find I’m most engaged when there is solid action—swords clashing, intense swordplay, and all that. Though, honestly, I might just end up revisiting some classic comic books instead. 😁 😁 😁
Action comedies in the vein of Lethal Weapon could work too. Then there are the fairy tales—if we consider things like Fast & Furious or Taxi to be modern versions of that—or even those vintage flicks from the 60s that somehow manage to break speed records racing through the city streets. 😁 😁 😉 etc.

A truly great thriller—there’s honestly nothing quite like it.

I’m a massive horror fan, but strictly when it comes to the classics: American Werewolf in London (honestly, people who film unnecessary sequels should be held accountable), Evil Dead II, Night of the Living Dead (the original, just to avoid any confusion), Creature, Pack, and Jaws.
Those were the days...👍 Now we have this modern garbage: The Ring, Saw, Final Destination, Scream, Halloween II, and all those other endless slashers.👎

By the way, that’s actually what we call the genre. 😁

Nothing beats those classic rom-coms starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts

Violent action movies that actually have a sense of humor. Check out Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pulp Fiction, or something featuring a deadly weapon. 😁
