I just finished watching this martial arts legend on DVD, and honestly, I’m stunned—and not in a good way. I actually tossed the disc straight into the trash!

It’s like this: the absolute core scenes that hold the entire plot together have been CUT OUT!

It feels like someone is playing God, trying to "protect" our "fragile" minds from "violence." It makes no sense when you see how much unchecked violence is broadcast on American TV every single night. 😠

For instance, the scene where Lee kills O'Hara? That whole moment was completely removed. Same goes for when Tobo takes out those incompetent guards right in front of Han and the rest of the tournament crowd—the parts where he breaks their spines are just gone. I’m truly shocked. If a censor ever tried to pull this on me, they’d end up in the garbage along with this butchered DVD! 😁

By the way, has anyone else checked out this specific DVD release? It starts with previews in about fifteen different languages, which is enough to make your blood pressure spike like a volcanic eruption at Krakat! 😎

I know some people here collect DVDs, so I have to ask: have you encountered this counterfeit version? And what do you all think about this kind of cinematic Inquisition—where they try to THINK for us under the guise of doing it "for our own good"? 😠 ?????? 🙂

It looks like I stumbled upon a single-disc version in my video collection, though I also have the Special Edition spread across two DVDs. There’s a chance the SE release holds the original cut, but I haven't actually popped them in yet to confirm.

I once held a version of the movie that had been "pre-made" somewhere out in the wild—sort of like a cheap, instant soup. They slap copyright warnings on it in dozens of different languages until you're practically losing your mind...😁 And honestly? It just makes you want to make a copy anyway... let them deal with it!😁 😉

But what they did to this cult classic actually made me, to put it mildly, FURIOUS! I felt like... a Chinese dragon when it loses its temper!😳

You get hit with warnings about copyright laws in half a dozen different languages until you're practically losing your mind...😁 So, you decide to go ahead and make at least one copy just to spite them. Let them deal with it!😁 😉

But honestly, what they did to that cult classic left me absolutely livid. To put it mildly, I was seeing red... I felt like a Chinese dragon when it loses its temper!😳

Could it be a Japanese version? We all know Bruce Lee didn't have much love lost for the Japanese. Maybe they finally found the nerve to settle the score after he passed away?😁 😁

I picked up Journey to Space on DVD recently, and honestly, I was floored by how much they butchered the edit and cut out scenes.

From now on, I’m not buying any movie until I double-check the DVD runtime against the listing on IMDb. 😠

From now on, I won't be buying a movie until I cross-reference the DVD runtime with IMDb. 😠

It's a shame, really. Some of these film studios publishing DVD releases act like they own the rights to Big Brother! 😢
