Why does country music songwriting always hit the nail on the head so perfectly?

Check this out: "Baby, that miniskirt looks great on you, wear it all the time"
"Whether it's freezing winter or a scorching summer, it fits you just right"

Talk about pure lyrical genius!

Check this masterpiece: miniskirt, it looks great on you, wear it all the time
winter, summer, hot, cold, it fits you perfectly

Talk about pure innovation!

That’s basically a Mozart sample at this point. We don't produce creatives like that anymore, unless you count some folks over in the North America. ☕

Look, if you actually enjoy folk music, just stick to Halid Beširević or Haris Džinović instead of listening to this garbage 🙂

🙂You're talking nonsense.

I hate autumn
I hate when the leaves turn gold
I hate the rain
And you probably hate it too—most likely

Those are basically the only country songs I know (honestly, no clue who the "legendary" songwriter is), which is why they hit me so hard—if I heard such masterpieces more often, my taste might actually improve. That little twist in the last line where he says "most likely"—now that’s what I call experimental poetry.

I can't deal with you, man
your tires are bald
the seats are rattling
in your Mercedes-Benz....

Whoa, easy there, pops....

Or maybe...

yeah, just like that, pops
buy me some sandals
just make sure, Saaalee
they aren't too small, haha.😵 🙂

It’s worth watching the clip; they are much more innovative and funny than those American sitcoms.

Especially those scenes where a guy sits alone at the bar, while the woman who ruined his life dances around him, giving him that creepy stare.

Pure expressionism.

era Ojdanić & Remi - Mercedes.

The guy (era) looks exactly like he could be Mate Bulić's brother! 😂 He’s got that rugged, old-school country vibe going on, appearing at shows in traditional folk attire—you know, those white baggy trousers, a vest thrown over the top like something out of Lado, paired with those hand-stitched leather boots.

As for Remi, she’s giving off total Bulgarian Ella or Valentina vibes... you know, that high-energy dance sound, reminiscent of Karma or Colonia, with all those heavy mixes, effects, and filters layered over the track. It’s actually quite catchy, that polished pop style, almost like Indira on her first cover, Vatra and Led. But honestly, her collaborations with Mexicans just seem to boil down to these kinds of oddities.😁

I hate it when all the leaves start turning gold and falling everywhere.
I can't stand the rain either.
And I bet you aren't a fan of it either—probably.

Those are basically the only old-school country songs I know (I have no clue who actually wrote them)...

Well, Miroslav Ilić is actually a pretty legendary songwriter...

Man, I love skinny jeans; only the divas pull those off...
From street to street... hearing all the guys sighing...
What could be sweeter than a sugar candy... those skinny jeans...

Can we get some actual modern hits in here for once? 😁

If you’ve got guts, if you’ve got heart
buy me a mink coat.
If you’ve got balls, if you’ve got nerve
put a diamond ring on my finger....

Well, now I’m actually getting interested. None of us usually listen to country music, yet somehow these lyrics just stick in your head.
I mean, if you aren't even listening, how does this happen?😕 😁
You could be driving through downtown Chicago near a local diner and hear some trash blasting on the radio, but being able to recall those exact words instantly...🙂
Honestly, we should all be embarrassed that we remember stuff like this. Seriously, I’m starting to worry I might actually start liking it.
"The little guy loves cabbage, cabbage loves the dew, and I love my girl, bare and true."

Who on earth decided that folk music isn't worth listening to? 😁

Besides, I suppose that’s why the local dive bars are absolutely packed every single Saturday night—because heaven forbid anyone actually enjoys some good old-fashioned American country hits! 😂 🤣

I know this one song that drags on for like 20 minutes... pure delight🙂

It’s packed with lyrics, but I’ll just pull out the best bits... Gara - Zoran kulin

I'm Ratko, playing it short,
pay up, buddy, so we can play it long.
(this guy stays out 'til dawn)

Gari Garo, why didn't you scold
your grandma and him, the tough guy?
gari Garo, who are you picking now
since you used to pick on me too?

Oh, little girl, how do you survive without him,
how do you live without that dark-skinned guy?

Little girl, she's thinning her brows
burning away with - his cigarette
???
there stands my beautiful Gari

Oh, little girl...

Clear skies, I'd love to lie down, Garo
just stay peaceful and rest on my chest
you kissed me three times, Dobrila
now you don't want to have my kids anymore.

Oh, little girl...

Garo, Garo, I don't love you anymore
I've got the will to find someone better
Garo, Garo, thanks for being like a sister
I'm gonna bring home a blonde for myself.

Oh, little girl...

Here's a guy with a mustache who loves a brunette
likes drinking coffee instead of acting sweet
what did you fall for, little lady
those big mustaches of the old man?

Whoa, looks good, looks good, come closer, girl
let the old man sweep you off your feet from the knees up.

I can see it in your eyes, sweetheart
that you want us to head out
it's nice by the fence, sweetheart
heart is pounding while the fence breaks.

Whoa, looks good, looks good...

From the top of the hill to the valley floor
I was kissing girls until dawn
tell grandma, the grandkid is sleeping
so the tough guy doesn't wake the house.

Whoa, looks good, looks good...

I went out and I'll go again
every woman I meet, whatever happens to me
I love blondes, brunettes, and dark-skinned girls
redheads and whatever else comes my way.

Whoa, looks good, looks good...

I'm the local legend, everyone knows me well
so please, leave me be
I've drunk and sold everything I owned
dear mother, I've gone to the dogs.

Hey hey, waiter, bring me a shot
I want to drink enough to get the party started.

Last night they caught my buddy
so the tough guys wouldn't be lying around
I love to drink, I love to make a scene
just to see how they'll try to stop me.

Hey hey, waiter...

Let's head to the outskirts of Chicago
where the girls are still giving out love
it won't fit us over there
the tough guys will probably jump you.

Hey hey, waiter...

Officer, armed force
the guy does what he wants
officer, at the station with Koca
where's the pistol my late father had?

Hey hey, waiter...

When drivers are on a long haul
they call every girl "sweetheart"
Miniskirt is short and legs are bare
come here, girl, that's what the tough guys love.

I'm Mike the handyman, I've got three trades
the fourth is me, and I love pretty women.

Everyone knows who kisses the sweetest
Miniskirt is short and knees are smooth
all drivers love their wives
but they drive with young girls instead.

I'm Mike the handyman...

When the Lada siren blares
lots of people end up without wives
nobody knows like Milanka
how she drives that Lada special.

I'm Mike the handyman...

I love your white color, Lado
you're driving me and my girl
oh, my Lada, my young girl
where are we going to make out now?

I'm Mike the handyman...

I had to
😁 sorry if I caused anyone any heartache😉
