So, it works fine in Chrome once I added adblocker.com... but in that damn Avant, it’s just a total bust. I honestly don't get how his ad blocker even functions... oh well, I just went ahead and disabled "scripts" over there and now everything's running smooth without needing it at all!

Holy crap, it's taking me a full three minutes just to load a single page on this 384 kbps connection!😲 I’m seriously losing my patience for spamming here (and trust me, that’s never a good sign)

BTW, this is some other kind of bullshit entirely—it’s got nothing to do with any adblockers🙂

Hey. I had the exact same issue—actually, it felt even longer for me—until I finally managed to block every single ad using adblocker.com. Since then, everything’s been running smooth as silk, even my monitor performance...

And just to prove my point, when I go into the settings and switch from "remove ads" to "hide ads"—basically just making them invisible instead of actually deleting them—the whole thing slows down to a crawl again!!!

I’m definitely on the same page as Jose Miller3. I mean, just take a look at what’s actually taking forever to load. In my Chrome browser, it explicitly shows it’s trying to connect to adblocker.com, and it just sits there forever. Once I added that to my adblocker, everything smoothed right out.

Exactly, but he’s causing issues again, and this isn't even the first time—it was just a little less painful last time. Look, the system tells me everything is fine and shows it's connecting to him, then it just hangs right there. The second I block him, everything runs perfectly. So, yeah, the conclusion is pretty much staring us in the face.

seriously, just give it a shot. honestly, it'd make me happy if you just tried: go into your Google settings, find the adblocker section, and just toss in this one filter . that's it—just do that and let me know how long it takes

Or, if you're feeling lazy and don't want to mess with browser settings, just jump into your hosts file (it's in macOS/system32/drivers/etc) and add 127.0.0.1 ads.monitor.hr...

That’s honestly awesome! It’s working great now, and everything feels so much faster—plus, I’m finally heading home for the day. I haven't even had a chance to catch up on the forum all afternoon!

I’ve had the ads from Monitor blocked for months now, but I actually had to tweak this specifically to get everything running smoothly today.

Or, if you don't feel like messing with settings, just hit up your hosts file (it's in macOS/system32/drivers/etc) and add 127.0.0.1 ads.monitor.com...

Man, I feel terrible if yours don't have them, but mine definitely do... try looking again once you finally stop laughing so hard on the floor!

So, yesterday happened, and I ended up getting pretty worked up and venting at the mods, which I guess caught Anderlon's attention.

The whole headache was because the adbeat.com server just wasn't responding to requests, leaving my browser hanging there for like 50 seconds straight.

That server is basically what handles all those ads you see up top.😁
