Any doctors in the house?

I believe I opened a similar thread once regarding inflammation...
I am in desperate need of some advice or even just a basic explanation. To be honest, I’ve completely given up on our local community health clinic doctors and decided to see a private orthopedic specialist instead.
He wants me to run several more tests, but his preliminary diagnosis is "Arthralgia".
Honestly, I was in a total state of panic—especially after he had the nerve to ask if my husband was waiting outside while I was sitting there feeling like I might actually die.
He refuses to explain anything further until he has every single test result in his hands.🙏
And all of this because of one single ingrown toenail...👎 All these complications stemming from that...
Does anyone actually know what this means?
P.S. To top it all off, he told me not to worry as I was leaving the office...😢

I’m no medical expert [yet 😁], but generally speaking, arthralgia just refers to joint pain or those sharp, stabbing sensations in the joints.

Unlikely to be anything serious...🙂

It honestly feels like they just handed me a diagnosis that says "Cough" and called it a day...

I finally found some answers... I’m feeling a bit better now, though it hasn't been easy.
I have an MRI scheduled along with several other tests coming up. If only I had seen this specialist sooner, instead of wasting my time bouncing between those state clinics where they just toss you around like a ping-pong ball and insist nothing is wrong. One doctor even had the audacity to tell me my knee pain couldn't possibly be related to this. (My apologies if I've offended anyone—I know there are exceptions to every rule)
So, just a heads-up to everyone here: stop constantly picking at or cutting your ingrown nails. A doctor actually pointed this out to me once, and I realized I’ve been obsessively digging at it for ages.🙏

One of the upcoming procedures on my schedule is an "isotopy" scan.
Does anyone here happen to be familiar with what that actually entails?
Apparently, the whole process takes about three hours—they inject a radioactive tracer and then perform the imaging.
I was assured that it isn't harmful or dangerous, but still...😱🙄

It’s just a nuclear medicine scan... they inject an isotope into your system that basically acts like a beacon, lighting up anything unusual—in this case, any issues with your bones. 🙂
