Lynch's The Elephant Man

Yeah... honestly, this movie probably deserves an R rating. It’s not even about the graphic scenes or anything like that—it’s just that the sheer emotional weight of the story is heavy. It isn't for everyone, and it definitely isn't something you'd want kids watching...

I watched it, but I don't know, Lynch just never really clicks with me. 🤷I didn't exactly walk away with any strong impressions.

It’s easily his best work, though it's such a shame he missed out on the Oscar... it really was a tough year when De Niro was also in the running...

A truly exceptional piece of filmmaking!

The Elephant Man makes an appearance in Aardman's The Pirates! Band of Misfits—and if I'm not mistaken, there's even a bit of a crossover with Jane Austen. 😁
