I bet they'll try to shove that detail in there too, just to lean into that twisted sense of humor you only get from Burton.😎

Honestly, I loved the whole thing!! Every single scene was pure genius—it’s just hard to pick a favorite when there are so many incredible characters. Maybe that giant guy—he’s pretty timid and jumpy, and definitely hits rock bottom before he meets his "buddy"—or maybe even the circus owner once you realize who he actually is, ha! But man, Big Fish himself is such a legend, just fearless and immortal. 👍

I just finished reading "Big Fish." As usual, the book offers so much more detail than the movie version. That said, the film takes some pretty massive liberties with the original plot.

At first, I struggled to judge the book because the movie was still playing in my head, but that whimsical, fairy-tale atmosphere is exactly what translates so well to the big screen 🙂. Credit where credit is due—the screenwriter really nailed the vibe 👍 (I actually briefly wondered if Dan Wallace had adapted it himself 🤔, but it turns out the credit goes to John August)

this film is top-tier😁

really enjoyed it... a perfect dose of fantasy that was practically built for the big screen🙂

great story and acting, though the son's character felt a bit underdeveloped... it left me wanting more... that scene where he carries his father felt a little over-the-top, almost like something out of Planet of the Apes... just too much drama...

The acting and the storytelling were great, but I felt the son's character was a bit underdeveloped. It left a gap for me; that scene where he’s carrying his father felt almost like something out of Planet of the Apes—just way too over-the-top for my taste.

Essentially, the son doesn't buy a single word his father tells him; he thinks he doesn't truly know the man. Then, while cleaning the pool, he suddenly sees a massive fish fin in the water—that's clearly hinting at the blurring lines between reality and delusion. In the following scene, back at the small house with his mother and wife, he finally realizes there might actually be some truth to his father's stories after all. 😍

Everyone seems to treat King's Shawshank redemption like this deep, gritty life story with some edgy message—I remember seeing all those debates back in the day. But for me—since I haven't actually picked up the book yet—it’s just a fantastic life story with a really beautiful, optimistic core. Tim Burton was lucky to get the chance to direct this one, and man, he did a killer job. Such an incredible movie. 👍

Hands down, Lost in Translation was the best thing I’ve seen in theaters all year. It’s definitely going to be one of those movies that defines 2004 for me...
I mean, I’ve always been a huge fan of Tim Burton—well, except for that one weird Planet of the Apes movie—but this might just be his most mature work yet. It’s got that signature imaginative, visual flair he does so well, paired with a really soulful story and incredible acting.
Just a brilliant film.

I’ll just say this—it's a bit heavy and hits close to home since I lost my dad recently—but this was the first movie in years that actually had me teetering on the edge of tears the whole way through.

The film is incredible.👍 👍

I simply wanted to suggest a highly entertaining film starring Ewan McGregor.

Directed by Tim Burton

It is surprisingly high quality and quite enjoyable.

👍 👍

Has anyone else seen it?

I’ve been watching, just watching away! 😉 Honestly, I have to admit, it felt a little surreal seeing a Tim Burton film bursting with all this color and lacking that signature dark edge he’s known for—you know? But even so, it’s still unmistakably Burton; I’d go as far as to say he’s actually at the top of his game here! 😎

Absolute masterpiece.

It’s one of those rare flicks that actually leaves you walking out of the theater feeling totally spellbound, rather than just... half-disappointed.

Honestly, it was like a dark fairy tale for adults. Just incredible. I truly loved every second of it...

It is truly excellent.

By the end, you lose track of what is reality and what is fiction.

It caught me quite off guard as well.

I plan on watching it one more time.

For anyone with satellite service or a cable box, it is currently streaming on Taqulli.

It’s definitely a different vibe than his usual stuff—kind of unexpected compared to other Burton films—but I actually really loved 👍

Does getting lost mean questioning the line between what's real and what's made up? Honestly, I think that was the whole point of the book—and the movie, too. It’s about appreciating how wild imagination can be, while also realizing that life itself is always going to be more unpredictable than anything we could dream up, right?

I’ll be honest, I was pretty skeptical when I first checked this one out, but I have to admit—it’s easily one of the best films I’ve ever seen!

Absolutely fantastic! That ending? Just incredible. And using Pearl Jam - Man of the Hour was such a brilliant move; it’s such an unconventional choice for them, isn't it? It’s just like how Tim Burton’s usual style is so different from the anti-darkness vibe here!

I saw that one ages ago. I have to admit, it’s easily one of the best movies I’ve ever watched... I wasn't expecting much to begin with, so the whole thing caught me totally off guard...🙂 It's fantastic... though, honestly, I've never really been a fan of Burton's...😳

Rewatched it yesterday after a long time. In my opinion, his best work, almost a perfect film...
