vmaticev:
Bruce Lee is a total legend

Yeah, and honestly, he doesn't even belong in that group we just talked about, so you could probably toss him into a different category entirely where you'd measure him against guys like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Sonny Chib, Sammo Hung, Busta Rhymes (yeah, he fits there too), or even Chuck Norris, and he definitely isn't part of that specific lineup mentioned above. 🙂

Then my second pick would have to be Jackie Chan.

The last two don't belong here at all, and honestly, it feels pretty unfair to the legends listed above them.

You could put him in a different pool where you'd compare him to Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Sonny Chib, Sammo Hung, or even Buster Keaton (yeah, he belongs there too), along with Chuck Norris and the rest. He definitely isn't in the same league as the actors listed earlier.🙂

Let's say this list—aside from Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee—is essentially a collection of fighters who mostly starred in American films during the 80s and early 90s. They aren't even the same genre, really (if you can even call "American karate movies" a distinct genre 😁).

And damn it, I can't believe I overlooked a living legend like: David Carradine.

Someone should shoot me.

True. This thread was supposed to be fun... You pick your favorite from the group and talk about their craziest scene or movie. Instead, we're spending most of our time arguing over why Jet Li isn't on the list. The moderator would be doing us a favor by just removing Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee.

This isn't even a poll; it's just a joke. I honestly don't get how people can't see this is about the "best" fighters. Is everyone just completely immune to having a sense of humor these days?

PS Matt Battaglia!!!

Thank God there's actually someone else left who gets what's going on here. 🙂

My bad to the poll creator, I didn't catch what they were really playing at right away. Bruce Lee and Dzeki have been scrubbed from the list. 🙂
BTW, there's absolutely nothing for Bolo Yeung to find here either... 😉

I have a question for the poll creator: why isn't Dolph Lundgren included? Honestly, he’s practically a powerhouse similar to Rocky Balboa, not to mention he was once the Master of the Universe, the one and only He-Man.😁

From what I've heard, Dolph Lundgren is actually quite a skilled martial artist. I recall hearing that he was even invited as an honored guest at a convention in Asia a couple of years back because of his proficiency in Kyokushin karate.

Got a quick question for the guy who put this poll together—why isn't Dolph Lundgren on here? I mean, he’s basically on par with Rocky Balboa, not to mention he was the one and only He-Man, the true Master of the Universe.

The guy already explained he didn't have enough room to fit both Lundgren and Jeff Dacascos in there (check the post at the top). Besides, you're totally forgetting that Lundgren played the one and only The Punisher once upon a time.

No, it’s him—first He-Man, then something else.😁

I'm actually about to go watch the Universe (the subtitles are a total mess, but whatever).

THE PUNISHER!!!

"I still talk to God sometimes, I ask him if what I'm doing is right or wrong , I'm still waiting for an answer , and until i get One"

In that movie, Lundgren took out more wannabe ninjas than Martin K تمام Dudikoff and Bradley combined in all the American Ninja films...

No big deal.

mellowrider50 said:I have one question for the poll creator: why on earth isn't Dolph Lundgren on this list?

As it is. Eric Jackson43 He said Dolph Lundgren and Jeff Dacascos would make the cut, but there’s a ten-slot limit on the poll. I’d throw David Carradine in there too, but it is what it is.

Funny how everyone calls me by that name. Thread starter 😁

A total of 181 ninja wannabes fell before The Punisher. In Masters of the Universe, it was only 47. Over his career, he’s taken down more than 550 villains. Impressive, indeed.

Just to brag a little, I just finished watching Masters of the Universe (I have the power !!!!). If I weren't feeling so lazy, I might actually go check out Silent Trigger next.

I've got some Masters at my place, too. Nothing beats that end credits scene where Skeletor rises from the water and says, "I'll be back."
Wait, where have I heard that before? 😁
Honestly, Dolph Lundgren was perfect for the part.

Sound familiar? 😁
Honestly, Dolph Lundgren was born for that role.

No way... I always lose interest right after the cast list starts rolling (the rest never made it onto the VHS).

It isn't just a rumor; it's a fact. Lundgren was a heavyweight champion in Kyokushin karate—and let's be clear, that isn't your standard "sport" karate, it's something significantly more brutal. He could likely take anyone else on this list, including your Bruce or Jackie, and eat them for breakfast. Unfortunately, it seems his acting career hasn't quite reached those same heights.

Tyrant said:...meaning they could eat anyone on this list (including your Bruce, Jackie, or whoever else you mentioned) for breakfast.

I have to disagree with that take. Lundgren definitely has an edge over most Asian fighters simply due to his physical build—there’s a massive difference between taking a hit from a 200lb man versus someone weighing 130lbs. That said, Bruce Lee is still held in incredibly high regard within the martial arts community because of Jeet Kune Do, and Jet Li was already a master of Wushu long before he ever stepped onto a movie set.

PS: Being a European champion doesn't carry much weight here; most action stars have been a champion of something at some point in their lives, and with so many different organizations out there, it isn't exactly a gold standard.
