Folks, I realized I haven't actually asked for your perspective on 😁Thickskin👋's latest studio album... what are your thoughts on it?

Whenever I think back to how obsessed my peers were with that singer, it's wild. My sister actually begged them to run a poster of him in the local paper, but instead of the handsome blonde we all loved ( EJTIN AND LAJF U GADET, EJTIN AND LAAAAJF U NOUUUU 🙂 ), they published a tribute to that late composer with his much more modern haircut 🤣

That’s exactly my point. 🤷

But I still remember 🧐 back in the spring of '99, waking up to see the walls of that community center over on Križanić's covered in graffiti honoring Sebastian Bach.
"Look at that," I thought, "someone's paying homage to the legendary composer of the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, along with a few other heavy hitters."
Then, seeing "Ciao" written out and catching those music videos on super Channel finally made everything click for me.

Bend was actually decent back in the day, but honestly, they haven't produced anything worth mentioning since...

Sebastian is truly a character unto himself—and let’s be real, he used to be quite easy on the eyes—but that voice? Easily one of the best I've ever heard.

I happened to catch a documentary on VH1 about the creation of the SUPERBAND (featuring Bach, Nugent, and the rest) and it was genuinely infuriating to watch how exhausting that guy is—just constant bragging and pure arrogance. Plus, his lack of impulse control is wild... there was this moment where his wife was posing for a photo, partially undressed, and he was staring at her with such primal hunger, you'd think he hadn't seen his own wife in twenty years.

So, yeah—it seems to me he just lives in his own little bubble, convinced he’s some sort of singular, special entity.

Used to listen to them back in the day. "18 and Life" and stuff... glory to The Grind!!

They played sets covering both the Pistols and the Ramones at those Metal Mania shows, haha...

There was a time when those three or four things I knew about them actually felt meaningful (I still remember you, Youth gone wild...)

Nowadays, it’s nothing special—honestly, the whole thing feels a bit ridiculous😁

I only recently stumbled upon the track "in a Darkened room," and I honestly can't wrap my head around why it never became a massive hit...
The song itself is absolutely stellar—and the music video is just as good 👍

Because there's nothing left of that guy from Skid Row.
Sure, everyone gets older, but he's been absolutely wrecked 🙄. Between the drugs and the booze, his voice is gone; you won't hear any of that sweet sound from "18 and Life" anymore.

Personally, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Skid Row law...
I feel like I only really "discovered" them recently myself...
They've got those classics like 18 and Life, I Remember You, In a Darkened Room... all that good stuff.
And honestly? That latest Thickskin record with the new frontman isn't half bad—at least based on what I’ve managed to hear so far...
I don't get why everyone is tearing it to shreds, though... I just don't see the issue...
To my ears, the track Ghost from that album holds its own right up there with the old-school hits.🤷

So I'm Skid Row—just realized this last week 🙏

A buddy of mine actually burned me a copy of their "34 Hours" album from back in '71 🙂

I was all set to give it a spin and drop a review here—but then I just realized they’re two totally different bands with the exact same name 🤣

Skid Row🤣 were basically toddlers.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I only discovered them recently, but they became an obsession almost overnight. Let’s be honest: those first two albums are masterpieces, and even the third one holds its own. But this new Skid Row? It’s a completely different beast. It has nothing to do with the original Skid Row.
My biggest gripe is how they took "I Remember You" and turned it into "I Remember You Two." That original track is a damn beautiful song, and what they did with this version... I don't even want to go there. Just no.
Look, regardless of how much of an asshole Sebastian was to the rest of the band, to me, he *is* Skid Row.

Speaking of Sebastian, I’ve got three of his solo albums since he left Skid Row. I'm actually uploading his latest one right now—it came out back in November 2007—to MediaFire. I'll drop the link here as soon as the upload finishes.

Yeah, he’s a totally different person now. He put on weight and looks like a wreck... he's incomparable to that old, handsome Sebastian 🙂 but... I caught an interview on YouTube where he mentioned he used to drink way more, but now he just sticks to beer, and that drugs are for weaklings... or something along those lines.

Honestly? I dig it. The first track and "By Your Side" are the absolute highlights for me.
Axl Rose even made guest appearances on three of the songs.

Great band. Their best songs were Wasted TIME.
