Hey, wait, does anyone else remember that one song...

"Little mrroooov, little mrroooov
hiding deep insideeeee
Oh, if I could just find him
so we can change our destiiiiiny"

🙂 😁

And Mike, please stop deleting things, because I really want us to have a real discussion here about our national treasures...

Wait, would you say that falls under the umbrella of folk music?
And I mean, what specific subgenre are we talking about here? Is it more along the lines of turbo-folk, classic country, or maybe something else entirely?... 😁

Just for my buddies in the corner!!

You took a razor and cut your veins,
now what am I supposed to shave with,
you aren't even thinking about me...

And what kind, exactly? Like some modern pop-country stuff, old-school traditional, or something else entirely? 😁

Nah, it’s actually from Bulldozer, but I can totally see why you'd think it sounds like folk.

I’ve never quite grasped this whole concept of "folk" music... I mean, which specific people are we actually talking about here?
It’s paired with this entire army of singers who brand themselves as "folk" artists in America, yet none of them are actually from here and they aren't even singing in English... so how does that even pass muster under that label?
Turbo-folk is even less of a subgenre of folk than this so-called "folk" music actually is.🙄

Even Limp Bizkit falls under the heavy metal umbrella.😛

On a different note, why is there such a push to strip away certain regional dialects from American speech? Personally, I find those specific local accents quite charming. Oh, wait... now I remember why.

PS: Tom Colovic. 🙂

There’s this one track by Bulldozer that actually fits this vibe way better:

...You look just like you stepped out of a display case
of some cheap candy...

Haha, that song is a total legend.
Back in the late 80s, a bunch of us Boy Scouts were absolutely losing it all night long on the train ride home from the coast. 😁

"She screamed, she screamed out loud more than once
out loud more tha-aaaaan!
The little ant hid and wandered deeper,
wandering even deepeeerrrrrrrr!"

Haha 🙏

It’s a masterpiece, really.
Right up there with: "aaaaaaaay I'll be coming over
around midnight just to lie down next to youuuuuuuu"

Ryan, why are you being so dismissive?
This is just basic common sense 😁 or maybe just
a little bit of class.

Ant-Man was actually the closing act during the first season of Saturday Night Live! The B-52's!!! Honestly, if you don't know that, you clearly have zero clue about real music. Long live Ant-Man! Forget The Cure and all those other guys from the United Kingdom—long live The Ramones. There's more of us, and there's always going to be more... Op Op Op!!!🙂

I actually caught this one on some random country station the other day

I’ll die, I’ll die
just to strip off
that dress you're wearing
if, if I gotta die
then I'm gonna go out like a real MAN😁 😁

Here we go again—just pulling a few more gems straight from the vault of American folk wisdom.

I can't wait to finally lay my mother to rest so I can get Ray back home where he belongs!
> 2. He cheated on me, dear? Honestly, as long as he’s healthy and breathing, who cares? If his wife doesn't love him, well, that's on her—he's not the one at fault here!
You’re easily the sharpest guy in the room—outshining all those Hollywood A-listers combined. You're basically cruising through downtown in a Ferrari.
The boss!
My girl’s rocking a mini skirt, and she even wrote "take it off" right underneath it. My girl is really playing for keeps.
"Maxi skirt under a maxi..." she wrote? That's just pure chaos. Honestly, someone needs to hand that lady a dictionary and a reality check.
> 5. It’s like a massive circle dance where Dude is right in the center, and honestly? I’m shaking with pure excitement just thinking about it!
I’m just a happy-go-lucky farmhand on the surface, but deep down? I'm carrying a heavy heart. What’s a poor soul supposed to do, sitting here by the Mississippi?
> When I don't even know how to swim!
I’ve always been the type to ride the wind rather than fight it—never let anyone else steer my course. Been doing things my own way since I was just a kid.
Born upside down!
So, you’re inviting me over for coffee when you don't even have any grounds? Seriously? Give me a break.
Don't you dare pour any concrete on my doorstep. I just had those new doors installed and I am not about taking any chances with moisture seeping in!
"Oh, look at him. He’s just so handsome, isn't he? So charming. Honestly, it’s like he stepped straight out of a fairy tale—like the kid's some kind of wizard's son or something!"
"The little girl's crying, and I'm stuck here on the Rock—can't get through to you, they won't let me in!"
Sipping on some warm wine and whiskey right now, and honestly? I couldn't care less about the farm or the house. What’s it to me?
So, we're talking about weddings and wives now? Funny how people can live with a complete stranger without breaking a sweat, yet suddenly everything becomes a crisis the moment there's a ring involved.
At home, we’ve got meat hanging from the rafters in the attic to cure—call me what you want, but deep down, I’ve got the soul of a farmer.
> 14. A shot rings out down by the Rio Grande, and old man Ibrahim Selim takes a hit. Get up, man!
"Father from this cold land, go feed those poor, hungry souls."
Sing out, Uncle! Come on, belt it out for us—maybe if you hit a high note, you can finally distract my sister from whatever nonsense she’s obsessing over.
"Chucky, Chucky, Cal, buy me some sandals—just make sure they actually fit this time, Cal!"
"17. Our two brothers, taught by Dad, finally figured out how to handle women!"
It’s finally over. Every single night, I’d sit there watching that plum brandy distill away. Now? I'm just out here crafting every single drink from scratch.
I’m telling you, I am absolutely stuffing him full!
"She's got her own set of struggles, sure, but honestly? The girl’s got hands of gold. She isn't about to rush into anything just because everyone else is panicking."
He just wants to rub it in!
"My little lady’s missing her front teeth—but when she kisses me, man, she'll kill me!"
You take the green light and leave me hanging on red? Man, that traffic signal just tore us apart!
Two thugs go and kill Miles, and now I’m supposed to take heat from some guy just because I was checking out his wife? Give me a break.
> 23. Man, you little rebel. How are you even functioning without that guy? How do you survive without that absolute legend?
Sweet sugar, ice-cold water... come on, baby, while you've still got the chance. Come on, girl, before it's too late.
Hey, look, it’s worth a shot. Why not?
Shallow stream, deep water... isn't that just how life works? You think you've got a handle on things, only to realize you're way out of your depth. Typical.
> 25. Joe's mom was basically running on pure electricity, and now Joe's out here whining about those small-town girls. It’s actually hilarious. He's totally in vogue right now.
Long hair.
Look, I’m no thief, but man... if I had his bank account, I'd be looking for trouble too.
I’d recognize you anywhere, even in a field of three hundred roses—but let’s be real, not every rose is cut from the same cloth!
Milane, my dear, you wouldn't believe it—my old man has gone completely off the deep end. He’s fully armed and ready to take on the world, honestly. He looks like he's about to go scorched earth on everything in sight. God help us all.
God help you if you ever cross my path.
"You can't even whip up a decent pot of chili, let alone watch my kids!"
> 30. The wind’s tossing the boat around, the fish are snapping at the bait, and some lady is strolling right along the shoreline—completely ruining my peace and quiet!
Coca-Cola, Marlboros, Suzuki, hitting the clubs, playing guitar, blasting bagpipes... man, that's the good life right there. That's what it's all about.
> It’s not an ad—honestly, nobody has it better than us!
"32. We'll drink on my tab, we'll be friends, and we'll keep each other from sinking into the blues."
Go ahead and heal yourselves—as far as my desk is concerned, everything is perfectly under control!
> 33. Listen, you need to drop the ball and start playing fair. Stop acting like a wildcat out there and pull those claws back.
Turn that lamb around before you regret it!
"34. A little woman, oh so sweet—she hits you right in the heart. Such a beautiful little woman."
It’s like that old saying: looks can be deceiving—small frame, but a massive soul!
"A man builds his house by making agreements," someone once said. Honestly, looking at how you operate, I’d say you’re barely even digging the foundation.
Way too far!
"The rabbit loves cabbage, the cabbage loves dew, and I love my little girl—dark-haired and barefoot!" Honestly, some folks just have a way with words. It’s poetic, if you ignore how much of a weirdo it sounds when you actually think about it.
Black or blue, black or blue... man, if I only knew which one was the real deal. Honestly, why choose? Just take both.
It’s all or nothing. Either I go all in, or I don't bother at all. I'm taking this all the way to the end!
"Hey little lady, stand on top of that car so I can get a clear shot!"
39. I’m not looking to settle down with just one or two. I’m a man who appreciates the whole spectrum!
Man, I swear, nothing hits quite like a glass of good bourbon. If only every glass was three ounces of pure liquid gold.
Honestly? I wouldn't say no to any of them. Every single one would do me just fine.
> 41. "Hey, you're just a kid, too young for even a kiss!"<
> 42. "The road is long, the car is a junker—listen to me, girl. If you hear that old
> beat, know I don't drive for free!"
> 43. "If tears were silver coins, I could build a palace straight to heaven!"
> 44. "Why should I go to court just to listen to some judge's ruling, only to have him
> ask if I want it for my dad or my mom?"
> 45. "I'm no handyman when it comes to building barrels, but I'm a pro at winning over girls! I'm
> no expert at hanging wallpaper, but I'm an expert at making babies."
> 46. "My little doll insists she's a virgin; says there’s no fooling around before the wedding.
> Girl, oh girl, you beautiful thing, don't argue with me—it's better if you just
> give me kids."
> 47. "You can give me everything under the sun, but I won't be with you because you're a mobster!"
> 48. "Falling for me wasn't exactly easy for you; I was a one-in-a-thousand shot!"
> 49. "That goosebump feeling is dangerous when someone touches you; it hits Sneezy so hard he can't shake it!
> Sneezy counts his scars by the old fence, remembering that chill for the rest of his life!"
> 50. "When women see me, their eyes widen; they love officers. They flock to me because
> I'm the descendant of the great General Patton; I've got legendary blood in my veins!"
> 51. "First things first, let's call him Duke; a short name doesn't matter much in a relationship!"
> 52. "Commander, you military powerhouse, you're breaking countless hearts!"
> 53. "Hey waiter, bring me a shot! I need to drink until I'm ready to rock!"
> 54. "Hey moon, my brother, just walk me home tonight. I've had a few too many, and the streets
> are crossing paths while I search for the right one; dawn will be breaking before I find it!"
> 55. "I always stop in for just one, but I've got a restless soul. I'm pretty wasted tonight,
> help me out, old friend!"
> 56. "Man, look at all the girls in this crowd; the bridesmaid definitely has the best hair."
