I had that exact same experience with FC. Or I guess, it was more like what happened to all of us. There were actually more of us in the theater at first. But once the credits started rolling, man... you could hear nothing but the sound of crickets in the background. Just total silence.

I’m honestly crossing my fingers for a new project from him—Terminator 2 is probably my all-time favorite, and you can't go wrong with Titanic either.

It has been ten years. A decade has slipped by. Perhaps it is finally time for Titanic to be recognized as a masterpiece.

So, I stumble upon this headline online the other day: James Cameron finds Jesus 😲. Naturally, curiosity gets the better of me, so I click through, only to find out the whole thing is actually about some documentary regarding the tomb of Christ 🤣.

As for me, there is absolutely no way I am sitting through Titanic again. Honestly, I think I lost ten pounds just watching it; my tear ducts were working overtime, and I swear I developed goosebumps from pure shock. No way, man :fakin mimoza:

I was merely attempting to point out the phenomenon where a significant number of films actually improve in reputation after enough time has passed. If my memory serves me correctly, Titanic was met with a massive wave of hatred, particularly from the supposed cinephile crowd (seriously, do you all not remember that?). That initial backlash has absolutely nothing to do with the actual quality of the film.

Aha. I knew it was impossible for anyone to actually hate Titanic. The ship splits in half, pure chaos, gorgeous Kate, people falling from massive heights and getting crushed by debris before they even hit the water, Leo dies—I mean, seriously, what’s not to love? Besides, some of those intense movies were actually alright for me... like Empire of the Sun. 😁
