Shrek Forever After (2010)

cosmiclynx57 said:So, I finally sat down and rewatched it yesterday in 720p HD, and man, I have to say, my whole perspective on it has totally shifted.

It’s honestly night and day compared to the last time I saw it; that blurry, low-res crap I watched before just completely sucked the soul out of the movie, but once you see it in decent quality like this S4 version, everything just clicks and feels awesome.

My take on the actual value/quality of the film: 5/10
My rating for it as an animated flick: 9/10

I gave it another spin a couple days ago and my mind hasn't changed—S4 is totally solid. 👍

Way better on the second watch... I don't know why, but the first time through was just boring from start to finish.
I actually found myself laughing this time... 😍

Man, I am right there with you! After that first viewing, I was kind of just sitting there like, "is this it?" but once I saw it again, it was easily twice as good.

I’m actually planning on giving it another spin later today.

Chris Meledandri, the CEO over at Illumination, mentioned that Shrek 5 is actually happening. It sounds like they're talking to the original cast right now about coming back for another fairy tale adventure.
