An R5 version just dropped. There's a minor issue with the audio, but nothing you can't fix (should be sorted out in a few days anyway)... 😉

It’s definitely worth a watch. The audio quality was solid and everything was crystal clear, so I didn't even need subtitles. Honestly, I thought the movie turned out pretty good—kind of like a better version of Species (though the only thing I actually liked about that one was Nathalie Henstridge). It’s just a shame they messed up the ending by turning it into a typical horror flick. If they had gone for something more like Fly, it would have been much better.

So, I'm stuck on this one: Nipples, breasts without nipples? EL dren really doesn't have any... 😕 If anyone out there can spoil that little detail for me, please be my guest.

I swear I saw some "nipples" popping up in one of those trailers... but honestly, I can't quite remember which one. 😉

There’s plenty of nudity here, honestly quite a lot... plus Brody gets undressed too. Dren is acting alongside Delphine Chanéac. Since she's likely Canadian, I guess she isn't shy about being naked..

👍I'm totally with this guy—the movie would've hit way harder if they stuck to the sci-fi/drama vibe until the end. Even though there was tension building the whole time, I think I was just bracing myself because I knew horror elements were coming. Either way, I actually liked it! It's way better than Species.

p.s. Christian Taylor3, there are definitely nipples in this one 🤣

I honestly wasn't feeling this movie. It was pretty predictable and just didn't grab me that much. As for the plot, it’s such a tired trope I've seen a million times before... feels like watching a single episode of X-Files or Fringe, or even something like Species. It's a one-time watch, at most... maybe more if I'm feeling nostalgic for dren hehe.

The craziest part for me was when those two organisms tear each other apart behind the glass, leaving the audience totally stunned and terrified because they had no clue the female had actually changed sex 🤣.

The wait is finally over because I finally sat down two days ago and checked this movie out.

I’ll be honest, I had some pretty high expectations going in, and for the first 15 minutes or so, I was actually thinking, "Man, this might be a total letdown." But then, minute by minute, my opinion just kept shifting for the better, and the movie honestly felt like it was getting better and better as it went along.
By the time the credits rolled, I was totally blown away—I can say for sure it actually exceeded what I was expecting!

I really dig the concept, even if it isn't exactly groundbreaking and feels like something we've seen in classics before (you know, stuff like Species, Alien, Gremlins, or Resident Evil...). The plot and the storytelling are super engaging, and it just kept pulling me in with that classic cinematic feeling where you're dying to see what happens next, which is always a huge win when a movie manages to hook you like that.
Director Vincenzo Natali really knocked it out of the park here, even though I was initially worried the movie might take a turn for the worse with too much mindless violence—but thankfully, that didn't happen at all. The casting for the three leads was spot on, with Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, and Delphine Chanéac all delivering fantastic performances, while the supporting cast was a little weaker, though honestly, it didn't even matter that much. Brody was great as Clive, and I have to give massive props to Delphine Chanéac for her role as Dren; she was incredible, and the whole creation of the character Dren was just brilliantly thought out.
That twist at the end? Absolutely brilliant! It was so atmospheric and intense, with a bit of a creepy vibe that I loved, and I'm especially stoked because they teased a potential sequel—but I won't spoil how that works for those of you who haven't seen it yet!

All in all, this is a really solid Sci-Fi Horror Thriller that I am definitely planning on revisiting sometime in the next few days.

My rating: 6/10

Anyway, it's better than Species, but way too predictable. As for this S. Polley flick, it gave me a headache more than once... the dialogue was pretty rough too 🙄
Brody is good 👍 (especially in some of those "intense scenes" 😍 — I've had a crush on him for ages!!). I wasn't feeling the ending at all, but based on the trailer, I wasn't expecting much to begin with.

It's worth a watch, but for me, it'll stay in that category of "just another one"—nothing really sticks with you.
