So, here’s the situation: for a few days now, I've been dealing with some neck and nape pain. It isn't intense, but it's constant. On top of that, my neck mobility feels limited, my vision is getting blurry, and I’m struggling with my balance—plus, there's this nagging ache behind my eyes. It’s all quite uncomfortable. To give some context, over the last five or six months, I've been spending an incredible amount of time at my computer. I don't even have a proper desk; I've just been sitting on the couch for stretches of eight to ten hours a day. And honestly, the stress levels have been through the roof lately. Could these symptoms be linked? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

To begin with, it is necessary to conduct a thorough examination of the cervical spine ☕

Half of the answer is already right there in your own post... maybe take a second to look at your daily routine and tweak what you can, especially when it comes to your posture while you're working.

You should definitely start doing some targeted neck exercises and really rethink your desk setup at work.
If you decide to see a doctor, they’ll probably send you for an X-ray to check how everything is functioning. If the imaging shows any actual damage, they'll likely refer you to a physiatrist... and from there, it’s usually physical therapy.
Good luck!👍

It is an absolutely miserable sensation.

I’ve been dealing with these exact symptoms myself. For years, I actually assumed the pressure in my head was just high blood pressure—but after digging deeper lately, I realized the issue is actually reduced blood flow in my neck due to some structural issues with my cervical spine. That eye pain? It feels all too familiar. Over the last year, I’ve been under massive amounts of stress—studying, working at a desk, sitting in front of a computer constantly... I barely moved at all. It eventually reached a breaking point where my physical health tanked, which, predictably, started messing with my mental state too. My main symptoms: pain in the nape of my neck and upper cervical area, occasional unbearable pressure in my head, and this awful, unsettling feeling in my temples—just a nauseating, pulsing sensation. I can't even stare in one direction for long without needing to look away, which honestly just makes me more irritable...
My physical therapist gave me a set of exercises to work on, and that’s the plan for now.
If I had known how much trouble spinal issues could cause, I would have actually listened to my elders when they used to nag me—"Sit up straight!"—and I'd be in a much better spot right now. What a mess.

Cervicogenic headaches happen because stuff goes wrong in your upper neck, causing this nasty pain that crawls up into the back of your head and temples. It feels just like a migraine sometimes, mostly from holding your head in one awkward spot for way too long. Along with the pain, you might deal with a stiff neck, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, ringing in the ears, or even blurry vision and trouble swallowing...

Gotta bring this topic back up.
What actually works for you guys when this crap hits? (Personal experiences only...)

Massage?
Physical therapy?
Swimming?
Alternative stuff?
