Since I’m still pretty new here on Reddit, I was wondering if someone could clear something up for me regarding what it actually means when you see "N/A" listed next to certain users' profiles?😕😕😕

N/A is just shorthand for "Not Applicable" or "Not Available."

Where on earth did you dig that up on Reddit?

Are there other users like this on Reddit? Basically, it looks like they were wiped from the database for some reason. My guess is a system glitch during those old server issues caused their accounts to get deleted entirely.

I actually ran into that from two different users.
One goes by ''sister'' and I honestly can't recall the other one's name🤷.

If you head over to the 'Random Stuff' subreddit and look for the thread titled 'Photos of Current Reddit Users II (comments are disabled),' you'll find that user right there somewhere on the first page!

Writes: "Posts: N/A"

Either that user got scrubbed from the database... or they've somehow transitioned into guest status. Though, if I recall correctly, we've never actually had guests on Reddit. So, my money is on the first option.

And is there any chance that deleting users from the database is just a result of long-term inactivity on the Reddit...

No, 🤷 it seems to be some sort of error within the database or the server, or perhaps something else entirely. 🙂

I’ve noticed this happening with certain users who have almost zero post history—even those folks who seemingly registered for the sole purpose of asking a single question... and right there under their username, it says "Patient" 😕 so, I suppose the real question is, are they actually registered users or just guests?

For the millionth time. There are no guests. This is just a forum member who was wiped from the database due to a server error.
