For anyone out there actually trying to take movies like this seriously, check out these absolute masterpieces instead:
- Sorry to Bother You, 2018
- Waves, 2019

I don't know, man, I just can't help cracking up. I mean, yeah, you gotta give it a minute to sink in, true. *Chuckle.*

shut up forever🙄 hilarious as always, that's why I like you👍

Look, it’s pretty straightforward to me. I don't think the director or this whole genre even belongs to that "progressive" Hollywood crowd you're obsessed with. Honestly, there isn't even any room to start slapping those labels on everything these days.🤷

A studio stuck in its ways like that wouldn't even know how to capture a movie like this.☕

That kind of narrow-minded thinking? You basically only see that stuff in some small town in the Midwest.🤷

I was referring to Bob Odenkirk—who is undeniably part of that progressive Hollywood circle—and this is clearly just a vanity project for him. What director? Some guy named Elijah? Who even cares about the director when he's likely just some former stuntman. The point is, Odenkirk is a progressive—part of that group that condemns civilian gun ownership on one hand, yet films high-octane action scenes with firearms on the other. It's the same pattern we see with someone like Brie Larson and her little attempt at humanizing the military-industrial complex.

Wait, what?

Can someone explain this to us mere mortals who don't live in Hollywood?

And when I was rambling on about how American actors don't have any backbone left, everyone just jumped down my throat like a pack of wolves.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of that dismissive attitude toward directors either. I guess I’m still one of those old-school idealists and romantics, a bit of a film bohemian, so that kind of cynical take doesn't sit right with me either—especially coming from someone actually in the industry.

The trailer specifically says "from the producers of John Wick." There isn't even a mention of the director.

And I certainly wasn't agreeing with you when you were talking about our actors.

It’s like when someone slams the bus doors shut and just can't help letting out one of those heavy, profound little sighs before they sit down.

Basically, your whole life pretty much boils down to just one single problem.

That’s just classic marketing bait, honestly. It's a total smokescreen because the director hasn't really made a name for himself yet. I actually think this movie might be the big break he needs to finally get noticed.

And I definitely wasn't agreeing with you when you were talking about our local actors.

Maybe you just missed the boat there—and honestly, that hypocritical vibe is exactly why I called out your selective logic and those double standards.😁

Wait, I think they say silence can be a sign of agreement sometimes...☕

Man, he sounds like a total pushover, like some polite little lobster. You could just pat him on the head until he stops snapping his claws because he's trying way too hard to be a "tough guy."

Get this—insects and those creepy-crawly sea cephalopods? They’re actually basically cousins. Crazy, right?

People get all weirded out when you serve them a massive pile of cockroaches and just casually go, "Hey, here's some fresh shrimp, they're still popping!"

Man, when people start acting like complete idiots... it’s unreal. Seriously, they’ll be serving up food and then somehow manage to hide the fact that the waitress has such tiny legs she can't even sprint to the table before her feet go numb. Then you’ve got everyone else sitting there debating who actually saw the service, whether we deserve this mess, how we’re gonna get out of here, and who’s stuck behind the wheel for the drive home. It’s a total circus. And don't even get me started on those greasy diners we hit up—I swear, nobody ever walks out of one of those places on two steady legs. Absolute madness. E.

P.S.: Just so we’re all on the same page, this sub is called Culture and Entertainment. And before anyone gets the wrong idea—that "Culture" bit is basically just us talking nonsense.

Man, what a wild, refreshing ride. I haven't had this much fun watching a movie in ages. Honestly? It beats John Wick and Jack Reacher in my book. It’s right up there with Taken and The Equalizer. It hasn't quite topped Hardcore Henry when it comes to pure, unhinged insanity, but it's getting dangerously close.

It was exactly what I anticipated. The fight choreography is tight, and the narrative unfolds just the way it should... though if I’m being honest, I really wish the guy who starred in Fargo had shown a bit more charisma...

The lead actor feels a bit more grounded and slower-paced than Wick, but man—can we please get some fresh storylines instead of just more stories about Russian mobs? Honestly, the ending felt a little off... it probably would have been way more interesting if the villain had actually taken the deal.

Bob Odenkirk just confirmed they’re actually working on a sequel
