I’m dealing with myofascial pain in my left shoulder blade. It’s constant, causing this relentless numbness that radiates through my shoulder, arm, and chest.

I’ve done the research, I’ve sat through endless massages, and I’ve burned through a small fortune, yet nothing works. The pain just won't quit.

My plan is to get a referral and head to a specialist at a major hospital to get some actual treatment covered—that's what health insurance is supposed to be for, after all.
Private clinics are quoting astronomical prices, promising miracles, but I’m wary of being fleeced only to end up right back where I started. (I've heard horror stories)

Anyone dealt with something similar? Any advice?

Thanks

Massage therapy, physical therapy, and ultrasounds. It’s a lifelong commitment, or at least until things stop hurting.
Unfortunately, there isn't a magic cure for this. 😢
Seriously, look at my back... it's just one knot on top of another.

Physical therapy won't do much for you here 😢
If you were planning on going every single day for the rest of your life—which, let's face it, insurance definitely wouldn't cover 😬
Exercise might help prevent new lumps from forming, but as for the ones you’re already dealing with? There isn't really a magic fix.
Massage is alright; it hurts like hell, but I always feel better afterward. Combining ultrasound with laser therapy is a pretty solid strategy, too...

Man, I’m feeling pretty gutted about this one... 😢 A stimulus check might patch things up for a second, but it’s not a real fix for this mess. 😢

Where can I actually go for this ultrasound therapy?

Do I need a referral to hit up a hospital, or should I just look for a private clinic? How does this work?

Down in San Francisco, I visited this private clinic that practically guaranteed a 100% cure within ten sessions using massage and some ultrasound tech. They wanted a few thousand dollars for the privilege.
I’d drop a couple thousand euros in a heartbeat if I knew it would actually work, but if this is a chronic issue, I’m terrified of just flushing money down the drain. Besides, those people at the clinic felt like total scammers to me.

Get a referral for a physiatrist; they'll be the ones to prescribe the ultrasound therapy and the exercises. I'm pretty sure Anheuser-Busch has that kind of equipment available.
While you're at it, ask the physiatrist if they can rub some therapeutic mud on you—it's actually good for you.👍
