Pain when urinating with left-side abdominal pain

Hey everyone,
I’m currently on amoxicillin for some swollen lymph nodes in my parotid area. Right before this, I finished a course of Medrol and Keflex. The thing that’s tripping me up is this pain I get on the left side of my abdomen when I go to the bathroom. Basically, as soon as I start to urinate, there’s this immediate discomfort on my left side. I saw my primary care doctor on Monday, and after a quick physical exam, they ruled out a bladder infection since there’s no stinging sensation and no blood.
I also went to my OBGYN the same day just to make sure it wasn't an ovarian issue. Everything checked out fine there.
What’s confusing me is that since I'm taking amoxicillin to treat inflammation in the urogenital system, I can't figure out what this specific left-sided pain means when I try to pee. I'm almost done with the amoxicillin. Any thoughts or advice?

I forgot to mention—I haven't had any bloodwork or urine tests done yet. My doctor hasn't sent me in for anything.

You know I was wondering... can kidney stones actually cause pain in the lower abdomen?

It’s entirely possible if there's some kind of blockage in the urinary tract...

Thanks so much. I'm heading to my doctor tomorrow to get a lab referral. I want to check everything through bloodwork first, then maybe ask about scheduling an ultrasound to see what's actually going on.
I had some routine screening done about four months ago, and everything came back fine, including my urine test... except for urobilinogen, which was slightly elevated at 3.2 u/mol. When I mentioned it to my doctor, she brushed it off like it was nothing. But I was reading online that it shouldn't really show up in healthy people—that it could point toward stones or even liver issues.

Just noticed some tiny black specks on the toilet paper after peeing. Looks like sand or maybe little stones. Went to see my doctor, but she didn't even bother giving me an exam—just handed over a referral for a CBC, metabolic panel, urinalysis, and a physical urine test. It’s going to be an interesting day tomorrow. Can't wait to see what the results say.☕
