She got off on what charge, exactly? If memory serves, it was her husband—who went out hunting—that dragged her into this mess in the first place. His sudden change of heart while Demi was mid-air certainly doesn't excuse her actions...

My only real issue with Demi is that she actually went back to that idiot at the end.

This movie is absolute garbage—it tries to pose as some kind of deep dilemma, but in the end, it just circles back to making the lead character even more of an idiot than she was at the start... though I have to admit, Demi is looking as stunning as a sunset over the Grand Canyon.

Please, let's be reasonable. She "escaped" by getting her marriage and the man she loves back. It doesn't matter if they were hearing things, hooking up, or just hanging out with the old guy. 🙄 To be fair, I watched this about three years ago too, and I remember him being incredibly driven by money, which was his big mistake. They both messed up. I suppose the film wanted to show that you can learn from disasters and get your life back on track. 🤷 Personally, I'm not a fan of that ending.

To be perfectly honest, I have never been a fan of how roles are cast. Redford can be as old as he wants to be, in my opinion, but most people would still book him for a part without even asking for a paycheck.😁Unlike Woody Harrelson, I still can't wrap my head around why she ever married him in the first place—given how jealous, greedy, and neurotic he was (not to mention the fact that she didn't even go back to him in the end).
Woody went straight to drinking blood through a straw once the money hit his account, despite their pact to stay silent about it. Meanwhile, you have Redford over there—charming, suave, and absolutely irresistible. It’s quite a mess to untangle... if you had to pick one, which would you choose?

I get the whole concept, but honestly, I wouldn't dream of marrying someone I didn't know inside and out... so she probably knew exactly what she was getting into.
Sure, things happen, and you can't predict how people will act or what choices you'd make in a crisis. But personally, I'm all about love 😍... I'd stay by my husband's side no matter what. I certainly wouldn't do what she or they did. It’s not really my place to judge. 😁

You've got a point, though. He definitely pushed her into it, but they both share the blame... it's just human weakness. If I weren't the type of person who refuses to go along with stuff like that, nobody could sway me. Whatever. It's just a movie.
