Setting up a VPN on my router

I’ve been rocking an ExpressVPN account for years now, and I usually just fire up the app manually whenever I actually need it.
...but here’s the thing: is it actually doable to install it directly onto my router so that every single device in the house is automatically running through the VPN? I remember someone telling me a long time ago that Comcast doesn't really play nice with that kind of setup and won't give you the specific router credentials you'd supposedly need to pull it off.

Has anyone here actually messed around with this or had any luck?

If you're trying to hide your IP by using a VPN
It kind of defeats the purpose if everything is running through the same connection.

Look, that router belongs to the ISP. Per the service agreement, everything tied to it is totally their responsibility and on their dime.

If your provider won't let you run stuff like a VPN, honestly, just ditch them for another company. Or better yet, just grab your own router and configure whatever the hell you want.
