What did you guys think of Robin Hood (2010)?

A solid film.
Unfortunately, Ridley has this real obsession with twisting historical facts until they make no sense, making the entire plot nothing more than a complete work of historical fiction.
As for everything else in the movie, 👍

man, that movie was peak character work—Ridley is basically the law when it comes to this stuff.

I'm seriously just sitting here waiting on the sequel.

There’s a new Robin Hood adaptation in the works, directed by Scott Waugh. This version centers on the gang—The Avengers—specifically highlighting Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, and Robin-esque sweetheart Maid Marian.

Production isn't slated to begin until next year.

The 1938 version of Robin Hood is hands down the best one ever made.
I just revisited *The Wizard of Oz*, and honestly, I’m still trying to wrap my head around how much this movie shaped everyone's childhood. It’s one of those absolute classics that stays with you. Even after all these years, there's something about that transition from sepia to color that hits differently. It's iconic for a reason.

The rest of them—including this one—are fine for a single viewing, but they’re totally forgettable. It’s been a while since I sat through Ridley's Robin Hood, and honestly, I can't recall a single standout moment. All I can remember are the parts that really got on my nerves.

I actually think this version of Robin Hood works pretty well. It might have been even stronger if they’d just cut the final battle entirely—or at least done something more creative with it (definitely skip the kids part 😛). It feels like the director was really aiming for some historical grit given the setting. If you're just looking for those iconic, high-impact action sequences, honestly, the Kevin Costner version does the trick just fine. Beyond the usual archery stuff, though, this one is really defined by that unforgettable performance as the sheriff 😁
