I’ve got two questions that have been weighing on me ever since I had my wisdom tooth pulled. It was an upper one, and it was basically buried deep in there—the root was growing at an angle, so they had to go in. It sounds intense because it was; there was a lot of digging and bone grinding just to get to it. Once the surgeon finally got it out, they put me on Klavocin.
Everything seemed fine initially. No fever, no signs of infection, just the usual expected swelling—I looked like a total pufferfish. I started the antibiotics and kept up with the cold compresses. Now, five days later, most of the swelling has gone down, but there’s this persistent, thickened area right under my eye and along my upper cheek. I have about two days left of the Klavocin, and then that's it.
It’s starting to worry me that this specific spot just won't budge.
Everything else seems to be healing, but this one patch of swelling is stuck.
Is it actually possible for swelling under the eye to linger like this, or is it bound to disappear completely?
Has anyone else dealt with lingering swelling after getting a wisdom tooth out?
Thanks,
