Heel callus/corn on my heel

So, I was just lying around this morning watching some TV when I happened to feel this little lump near my heel—well, more specifically, just above the heel where that bone sits. It feels quite hard to the touch; if I press on it, it honestly just feels like bone. I can't for the life of me remember bumping it against anything or having any kind of injury lately... there isn't even any bruising or discoloration, it looks perfectly normal. I'm not sure what I should make of this, maybe it's nothing, but I guess I'm wondering what it could possibly be 🤷

So, like, my mom has actually had this same kind of bump for a few years now, and I guess it probably came from her being on her feet all day at work or something. As far as I know, it’s some kind of bone growth in her heel, but I wouldn't be able to say for sure if that's exactly what you're dealing with, maybe

Just stumbled onto this old thread. I know it’s been buried for a while, but does anyone actually know what happened with that bump? I’ve got the exact same thing popping up—a hard little knot, feels like a bone, maybe an inch above my heel right along that vertical bone. It doesn't exactly hurt, but man, it’s a total pain whenever I try to squeeze into my boots.😕

Believe me, I’ve been there too. It’s a bone issue—just a different structural setup.
It used to ache quite a bit whenever I applied too much pressure, but lately, everything feels perfectly fine, just like a regular bone on both my left and right legs.

Have you had that forever? Because I’ve only been at this for maybe a month, and I’m starting to wonder if it’s even physically possible for my bone density to just spike like that out of nowhere...:/

It’s not a stye... it doesn't hurt, it doesn't look anything like one (no redness or discoloration), and it isn't even in the usual spot... I'm telling you, it just popped up out of nowhere and feels hard as a rock...
