Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of that stubborn yellow nicotine staining on my fingers?

Just smoke while wearing latex gloves and you won't have those nasty yellow stains on your fingers. If that sounds too crazy, just throw some condoms on the fingers holding the cigarette instead. That should keep the nicotine buildup off your skin.

Oh, and give a toothpick a shot, Lord.

Try scrubbing your hands with some toothpaste—preferably whitening kind—and maybe a nail brush. If that doesn't quite cut it, you could try mixing a few drops of lemon juice with some baking soda and rubbing that on the stained spots. Once you finally hit a result you actually like, just keep up with it using a scrub once a day—nothing too aggressive, maybe just a gentle face scrub—treating it like you're washing your hands with soap.

Grab some vinegar... it should help dissolve any organic residue...
Otherwise, you can't beat sugar and lemon... people use it to scrub everything off their hands, even heavy grease...

I have discovered a method that works consistently every single time... you see, when skin is peeling or slightly damaged, it releases certain substances that aid in the healing process. In reality, this happens continuously because our skin is constantly regenerating itself. When this biological process is combined with warmth—which explains why things like ingrown toenails occur or why the skin on your feet might take on a different hue—that specific area begins to undergo a color change. It is quite similar to how tobacco stains the skin; the nicotine causes yellowing, yet the tobacco also leaves behind a more significant portion of the pigment.

Therefore, if anyone is looking to lift those stubborn stains from their fingers, I suggest heading over to a local CVS or Walgreens to pick up a foot file $5.00. Simply soak your fingers in some lukewarm water for a bit, gently buff away the discolored area, and you will be set for about a week.

It is truly the simplest approach, and it works wonders whenever you need to get rid of that yellow tint caused by smoking!
