Why on earth didn't Juno die at the end of the first movie?I mean, am I crazy, or does it look like she's actually alive in this trailer?

I mean, we didn't actually see her die—that was just heavily implied by that final shot of her...

The "end" I’m seeing in my head doesn't finish in a car. It goes right back to the cave and that feeling of hopelessness. Honestly? It would've been an awesome way to close it.👍

Anyway, I watched the extended cut, so I was actually a little confused at first when I heard that the woman at the very end of the movie would be returning in the sequel... ( because I realized she's actually dead at the end 🤷 since she sees her little girl who passed away... )) — I couldn't even bring myself to type that out. Sorry about that

I’ve run into the exact same issue myself, and there's a simple workaround if you want to fix it. When you're setting the text color, just swap out "black" for "white" instead...

So, I’ve been sitting here thinking about it, and I think I finally figured out the end... though honestly, I have no idea how it didn't hit me sooner. Anyway, ( So, I finally figured it out. She sees her little girl at the end there in the cave because she’s been trapped in that hole for so long that she’s straight-up hallucinating. They actually mention this earlier in the movie—they say that when a person stays underground for that kind of time, they start losing their grip on reality. I honestly thought she died just because she saw her daughter, but clearly, I was being an idiot. My bad. 😵)

The first part is such an awesome movie. It doesn't exactly have a happy end 🙂 but hey, we'll see! I might just give this one a watch 🤷

I mean, honestly, I’m totally down to watch it regardless. Even if the plot has some major holes or stuff doesn't quite add up, it won't really bother me as long as they manage to nail that same vibe again... And hey, this time around, I'm really crossing my fingers for a happy end. 😁

Based on the trailer, this looks pretty ridiculous (and where did an elevator in a cave that nobody’s ever survived come from? 🤷). Like some of you already mentioned, I’m definitely checking it out (can't wait for May 😁), but I'm not expecting anything groundbreaking.

If I remember right, there's an elevator in that little chapel where they find the second entrance... and whether anyone survived or not depends on which version you watched—the American cut or the British one.😉

If we're being honest, regardless of which ending we watched, there was still a fighting chance at survival.To be fair, none of us have actually laid eyes on the bodies of Juno and sarin.)

I mean, come on, it’s honestly just plain stupid that they decided to put Juno in there... seriously? Do you guys even remember how many of those things absolutely tore into her?

Exactly. (The whole point of sarin intentionally wounding Juno was to set up an unfair fight against the crawlers—which leads, inevitably, to death—just like how she abandoned Beth earlier.

Nah, that's not what I meant by "movie heroes." 😁 I was talking about the crew that actually built that elevator inside the cave. How did they even survive doing that? 😕 I mean, in the first movie, there isn't even a map or any names for that cave system, and now suddenly there’s a full-on elevator installed. 🤷

Man, Juno is just absolutely legendary... 😁

So, I finally sat down and watched the first installment... and oh my gosh, what a horror! It was absolutely incredible... honestly one of the best I've seen in a long time. There’s this touch of drama woven in there too, which really adds to the vibe. The whole movie was just perfect... I am seriously counting down the days until I can get my hands on the sequel...!!😁😁😁😁

So... apparently there's a new trailer out for the sequel... though honestly, it looks pretty much the same to me.

I just finished watching The Descent and I have to say, I was absolutely blown away by it. I haven't actually sat down to watch the one with the happy ending yet, but honestly, I’m just crossing my fingers that this sequel is at least half as good as the original. Given how much most sequels usually flop, even hitting fifty percent of the first movie's quality would be a win in my book...🤷
