Do I have a blood clot?

If the only symptom I've got is one foot feeling warmer than the other 😂, I'm just sitting here reading up on it, mostly because I'm such a huge hypochondriac 😲... honestly, I haven't really had this sensation for very long, I only just noticed it a second ago lol

It seems like they don't even have any doctors on call overnight here...😁😁

If you actually had a blood clot, your leg would be incredibly swollen—likely the entire lower leg, depending on where the clot is sitting. You’d also probably see some intense redness spreading across the whole area too.

Don't sweat it. It’s just some minor circulation issues in the leg. Nothing to get worked up about...

It really depends on whether that foot feels colder or warmer than the other one, which I couldn't quite tell from the post... if it's colder, maybe it’d be worth getting an ultrasound on the leg arteries just to check the blood flow... you never know.

I'm not sure how to explain if it's colder or warmer, I don't know which one is acting up, it's just that one side feels warm and the other feels cold. 🤷

The question remains: how are we supposed to distinguish "healthy" from "sick"? We need a baseline to determine at what point a temperature shifts from being perfectly normal to being a problem. 😁

Look, you can literally just feel it. Use your hands to check the temperature on other parts of your body—like your thighs or hips—and compare that to how warm your feet are. See if they're colder or warmer...

It's over. Necrosis. They're going to have to amputate your foot with a hacksaw—actually, let's be real, they'll probably have to take the whole leg down to the knee. Have you ever actually seen someone with just a stump where their foot used to be?!?!?

You could even compare them to see which foot feels warmer—one might be significantly colder than the other, or even look a bit bluish if the arterial circulation is struggling. That's usually when you start feeling that pain while walking, what they call claudication. I’ve read up on this quite a bit, though, thankfully, I haven't had to deal with any of it myself. You can find plenty of info online about it.

holloworca19 I can't even begin to tell you how much this whole situation sucks. Honestly, I’m just sitting here staring at my screen, wondering when things actually started going downhill. It feels like everything is just... broken. You try to make sense of it, you really do, but then you realize you're just spinning your wheels in the sand while everyone else pretends everything is fine. It's exhausting. Just plain exhausting.
So, what gives? Is there seriously zero coverage from on-call doctors during the night shift around here? Seriously. 😁😁

Look, I’m not saying you shouldn't reach out—I'm actually waiting on *you* to chime in with whatever else is going on. Seriously, what are we looking at here? Besides that temperature fluctuation, are you feeling anything else? Any other weird symptoms popping up? Because, look, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a fever spike like that could be an early warning sign for acute ischemia triggered by some kind of acute thromboembolism. It sounds heavy, I know. And honestly? It’s pretty hard to play doctor over the internet. In medicine, nothing beats actually being there to see things with your own two eyes. You can't diagnose much from behind a screen.

For me, both of my feet are almost always cold—definitely colder than the rest of my body, probably because I spend a lot of time walking around barefoot...😕
Otherwise, there isn't much of a difference in temperature.
And no, I don't have any other symptoms at all.
And look, mistyjackal842, I'm being completely serious here... just because I used a smiley face doesn't mean I'm kidding about this...

Look, assuming you aren't elderly, just keep an eye on it. It's good that you don't have any other symptoms.We were all starting to worry over here; some people even joked about amputation.🙂...All jokes aside, this points toward poor peripheral circulation. My feet turn to ice in the winter, too. But I've seen what bad circulation can do—everything from gangrene to amputations—so I take these things seriously right away.
