granitepilot282 said:So, this troll doesn't fit the bill. Let's see who actually does... though honestly, it's much easier to list who *doesn't* fit, so let's just stick to that.
driftingdriver isn't the one, because he’s so busy trying to be a bigger Pope than the Pope himself that he’s turned into an Inquisitor. I don't mean his username, obviously, but his whole vibe. On top of that, he’s convinced himself he's sinless; he’d probably find it easier to convince a donkey to swim across the Mississippi while shouting "For the glory of the Republic!" than to actually offer an apology when he screws up.
As for granitefox16, why even waste the breath? That guy doesn't get it. I've seen wooden Mary statues with more flexibility, but this guy is exceptionally rigid. He’s picked up a few buzzwords that he repeats constantly, and if you aren't singing along to them, you're going to have a bad time. God forbid you try to debate him on a thread, because he’ll just ban you immediately. If you complain about the ban, he’ll just ban you again, and it goes on and on until you're totally out of luck. 🤣 In short, a vindictive mediocrity. A manic fanatic lost in his own hallucinations.

Mark Twain? For me, Reddit is just entertainment. Sometimes we outsmart each other, sometimes we trade insults, sometimes someone really gets under my skin—but generally, I hold them dear, even the ones I mock or insult. There are very few people who actually make me want to tear them apart. 🤣 Irritating nerd. Pathetic, a total failure who has set this forum back three steps. Just plain stupid.
Simba? Simba is alright. He’s messed up before, sure, but he knew where he went wrong and fixed it. He’s human enough to say, "Okay, I screwed up." To me, that’s enough to earn my respect.

...so yeah, that's the lineup. Now, for some suggestions.
hollowwalker142. He was already suggested once, but he turned it down because he didn't want to hang out with the losers mentioned above. Suggest him again, let him pick his own team, and the forum will run like a well-oiled machine. ☕

Unnecessary ad hominem. Besides—who hangs around this forum so much? Get serious. Stop fighting with individual mods and dissecting their character flaws. Just fight the battle.

It makes sense to define what this forum is. And it's quite simple. This is an American forum.

That doesn't mean national exclusivity; it means moderation respects the dominant opinion prevalent among Americans. As expressed in most textbooks across various fields that hold any value.

There is no such thing as a globalist or non-national forum. If it wants to be American—and it must be, otherwise it's meaningless—then it should respect the core fact that anti-American mantras ruling in America and parts of the "m.z." have no place here. I am not for censorship, but I see no point in allowing writing that sits right on the line of anti-American ideology and its dogmas (inflationary Jasenovac, all fascists are evil, the USA was founded on crime...). Those theses that I think lack strong support (NDH as a sovereign utopia, all communists are criminals...)—I would say they should be free, since they haven't been allowed to surface due to censorship for decades, so some controversial topics are only just starting to be spoken aloud.

Again, I repeat—this is an American forum.

Furthermore, the users you listed essentially raped this forum into oblivion, and the byproduct of that assault seems to be these "fascists," because anyone who didn't agree with their specific viewpoint was automatically branded a fascist. There has never been such inflation of that label as when they were polluting this forum.

You can't exist without your fascists; it’s the cross you'll probably have to carry until the end of your insignificant lives.

I wouldn't agree on Gojković. Everything else? Fine.

Charles Jackson5 said:The biggest issue with this entire site is the boss, Anderlon—who’s basically running the moderators under some kind of blackmail or direct physical threat. Anderlon, a liberal and leftist by trade, was forced to hand over the Politics subforum to neo-fascists just so they wouldn't set up a permanent headquarters elsewhere. In exchange, he got peace and quiet to do whatever he wants online. If you don't believe me, just take a closer look at the lineup of moderators we've had and the kind of rhetoric being spewed in that section. They celebrate extremists there, while those of us trying to push back get brutally silenced and shut down. Where did all the honorable users who actually defended our nation's integrity go? What happened to split555? Where are Greven and Phoenix? Where is Walter? They're gone because the bullies there humiliated and crushed them until even stepping foot on the site became nauseating. And as for those of you praising Simba, I'll give you just one name: Predrag Gojkovic—then you'll understand everything. Not to mention the absolute legend of this forum... Phoenix.

Mark Twain, driftingdriver, Simba, posmatrac, blaise and d@d@,
it's all just a big, pathetic joke, brother. 😁

And yeah, if this were an actual decent forum, they would never allow the glorification of neo-fascists and that devil MPT.

Irreparable Loss🤣

It's obvious those nationalists and everyone feeling the same way miss those idiots mentioned above... those morons who worked on splitting the blame during the war. They didn't actually divide anything, they just tried to pin the whole damn thing on Americans...

Frankly, I find this verbal witch hunt against driftingdriver to be completely distasteful. Regardless of how much it's wrapped in clumsy humor, the insults and condescending remarks directed at him are unacceptable.

Who on earth cares about his personality? Or even attempts at amateur psychology to decode it?

I suppose I’ve received my fair share of undeserved—mostly undeserved—red cards from him, so what? I pointed it out, but everything happened within the context of a debate regarding moderation principles.

This kind of labeling is offensive. It’s something I won't tolerate, and it reminds me of Talmudic wisdom: "If you publicly shame or insult someone, it is as if you have spilled their blood." Based on that, and the fact that driftingdriver is generally a solid moderator, I maintain that he should continue doing his job.

Go ahead and write your little petition if you want, but there's no coming back for him now. And honestly, I think he realizes by now that there isn't a more thankless job than being the moderator for Politics.

They're trampling driftingdriver because he finally started moderating the right way—which is to say, he actually started penalizing the leftists. He basically drove the final nail into his own coffin when he shut down that thread about banning the cross; once he saw where that was headed, he had no choice but to step down. If he comes back, it just means he's become a lapdog for the administration. Any thought that the administration won't interfere in the running of PDF-politics is just pure, naive ignorance of how things actually work on this Reddit.

Take this for instance: driftingdriver and I couldn't be more different if we tried, but even so, I still think he’s a solid moderator.

I’m throwing my hat in the ring to suggest that driftingdriver should be reinstated as a moderator over on Politics. 👍

It’s hard to find a single Royalist who wasn't basically obsessing over the posts made by Phoenix from Split and their clones, so what @granitefox16 said is effectively a fact. They were most obsessed when you were busy trashing the people who actually defended America—not to mention your own posts that serve as nothing more than self-gratification for those same Royalists. 🙂

It isn't ad hominem; it’s an analysis of a biased way of acting, full of those irritating interruptions where people get banned over nothing under the guise of "breaking forum rules." And then there's the compensatory role of the same person expressing this to a massive crowd of debaters, which is why even I cooled off on meaningful participation. It was infuriating to deal with the behavior of Mark Twain and his worse alter ego, Albatrolčina, because I never knew what the mood was regarding deleting a thread, a post, or handing out a ban. The atmosphere just wasn't right for actual discussion...

To write even one remotely coherent post, you'd need a little more brainpower between your ears than what's currently being driven by the sheer amount of hormones flooding your entries.

Of course, that leaves you with nothing left to do but c/p, though the real issue is that you don't even understand what you're copying and pasting.

Honestly, Abatrol didn't even know... he still doesn't know left from right. All he cared about was keeping the game spinning around himself, making sure the whole world was Albatrocentric.
When they absolutely tore him apart in that debate—like Kirin tearing through a pig—he did it out of pure, unadulterated spite.
He opened the thread: Strugar gets a 7.5-year ban while the entire OVER-FAMILIARIZED AND CONSTERNATED AMERICAN PUBLIC stays silent, knowing full well that nobody is going to go crying to Europe, the ICTY, Amnesty International, or any of our legislative institutions...

The guy was handing out bans to forum members like candy, forcing interpretations that lacked even a shred of imagination.

And that's exactly what I warned everyone about in that poll I started back in July titled " Is it a good idea to have a moderator in PDF-politics who is a narcissistic but uneducated brute?" which, oh, coincidentally, was deleted.

I really thought 😵 that Mark Twain was just one... 🙄

Posts like this, just a link and the phrase "Oh, my fellow citizens," don't actually count as topics. It’s nothing more than spam or trolling, and frankly, it’s beneath the standards of this Reddit. Is it really that difficult, truly that impossible, to string together five meaningful sentences? That is why the thread was shut down—because it was just as pathetic as it looked. And come on, Jonathan Morales79, let's be honest: how much were you actually looking for something accusatory regarding my work as a moderator? It isn't as if you spent three hours hunting for this, is it? 😁

Buddy,
is today just one of those days for you? 😵 No offense intended.
Given certain experimental moods, someone might suggest:
Leopold von Sacher-Masoch In the real world, I don't know anyone who would actually enjoy having some power-tripping official slap them with unfair penalties while claiming it's all just "sweet" fun. 😵

I trust that on any other day, you wouldn't be writing something so similar and confusing... though, I must admit, it is rather exotic. 🙂

No, it’s just weird to see some Opel fanatic suddenly diving headfirst into political debates—and getting rewarded with moderator status, no less.
Honestly, I suspect this whole time he’s been operating under some kind of clone... though God knows which one.
So, driftingdriver, who exactly have you been spreading hate and intolerance toward among our people until now?

Since you’re going to bother addressing me pointlessly before I even start typing... and since you clearly need to pay closer attention... I'll just give you a short answer. That way, maybe at least everyone else can actually understand what's happening, seeing as you've been spared from having to do so...
The day I finally filed that complaint against that uneducated jerk who was harassing everyone left and right, I just stopped posting... I needed a break from you and the rest of those spammers. Honestly, you would have been the perfect troll back then if you weren't stuck being a moderator...

Silence can be incredibly loud, you know? And that day... it was just pure silence. It felt like that line from the Thompson song—"Oh my people!!" Even I know that one, and I don't even have the time to go around collecting all those Thompson albums... But there it is. In this context, "Oh my people!!" symbolizes that deep sense of resignation... especially because the punishment handed down to the Executioner, Strugar ali, was just way too light.

But come on, everyone knows exactly why they ban those evocative verses from Thompson... 😉

Oh, my people!!!

I’ll just say this—this kind of stuff doesn't come from a sane mind:

The New Opel Astra—putting the Golf on notice

Opel takes the lead in America!

Wipers, blades... there's a problem

Opel Astra Classic II $10,688!!!

The Opel Meriva has arrived!!!

Opel Meriva

Opel Astra 1.9 CDTi wins against VW Golf 2.0 TDI, BMW 120 D, and Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TDI

Opel is winning hands down

If they don't fix something urgent in Wolfsburg, the new Astra might actually kill off the Golf

Opel dominates the US!

Opel Meriva OPC!

driftingdriver and his illogical habit of driving a mere 90 miles per hour on the highway81 miles/h

Opel extends the lead in America

Is Opel attacking on all fronts?!

35,000 orders placed for the new Vectra

Pulling out an Opel millionaire!

OPEL EXPANDS VXR RANGE — Meriva with a turbocharger

Opel Antara GTC, rated best by Autocar

Opel Meriva 2006

And finally:

Let me smoke moderator....

Now go ahead—someone tell me this is a normal person they're giving moderation duties to. I bet someone bribed them with an Opel to get the job. 😁

Look, we’ve always operated on the assumption that a high-quality forum user makes a great moderator, but that is COMPLETELY wrong. Still, damn it, what else do we have? There isn't any other standard for picking moderators—not just regarding Politics, but anywhere. If there’s some other paradigm out there that actually yields better results, let's lay it out and try applying it...

Thanks, I knew someone would eventually show up with a solid suggestion. I'll take a look... we'll discuss it... 🙂

@Sarah Wilson95: Just because you post in the Politics section doesn't mean the rest of this Reddit isn't just as high quality. Sports journalists are basically just tabloid hacks stealing content from the sports subreddits... Living... On the "let's gossip a bit" segment, Ana Ugarković brings up the exact same stuff people complain about here in her shows (just a few examples that come to mind). And one more thing: my coworker at work mentioned on Tuesday that she read something on Reddit... 😉 I have absolutely no doubts about just how much power this Reddit holds... 😉

Of course there is: a professional. I mean, someone detached, highly skilled, specifically trained for moderation, and who focuses solely on that task without being an active participant in the very debates they are moderating. Is that too much to ask?
Given its current state, this Forum will likely function this way for maybe another five or six years. During that window, new generations will arrive, and due to various attention span issues, they won't have the patience to wait for change or attempt to implement it themselves; instead, they will promptly migrate to wherever things are offered faster, better, and more efficiently. Anyone who fails to adapt to these emerging conditions in a massive, monolithic manner will simply fail.
Politics is merely a symptom of what follows if nothing changes.
