I’m honestly dying to know what you guys think about this. Between all those injuries, the hormone therapy, and the constant cycle of popping pills...

Look, just because you see it doesn't mean everyone is juicing or getting wrecked on the field. You probably just see it more in the news because scandals sell papers. It's pure sensation seeking.

The media isn't going to write a headline about the guy who plays clean and stays healthy. There are way more athletes out there living life by the book than there are the ones making headlines for bad decisions.

On top of that, just look at the average person. People who aren't athletes, who sit around all day and eat total junk. They're way more prone to health issues, and honestly, that lifestyle is way more dangerous. And trust me, there are plenty of them.

Of course it isn't healthy. That was settled a long time ago. Even if we ignore the whole mess of hormone therapy, painkillers, injections, and whatever else they're popping just to get through the day. The reality is that the kind of physical strain these pro athletes endure simply isn't good for the human body, period. Professional sports isn't "healthy." It’s just a fact.

In my view, professional sports aren't healthy at all. At its core, it’s just another job like any other. People enter the industry for the paycheck and the fame, not to lead a healthier lifestyle. The moment you sign a professional contract, the link between athletics and wellness is severed. It becomes strictly about revenue and securing a financial future.
And as some might argue, true sport died the very day broadcasting—whether on TV or radio—was interrupted by a commercial break.

Look, let's be real: pro sports come with a heavy price tag of career-ending injuries and chronic health issues. It's a grind. You're much better off sticking to recreational play.
