Family therapy in the USA

I’ve noticed some users have been jumping down people's throats way too much lately.
Some guy will just pick a fight out of nowhere simply because he can't stand someone else.

I don't want us to ruin this awesome community and give Shadow a reason to shut us all down because of constant bickering.

Personally, I’d rather try to find some common ground with everyone instead of just dodging each other. I know there are good people here who deserve a fresh start.

I cleared out my ignore list and I’m looking to give it another shot with a few people: Deva, Satori, Tik, Tyler Durden, MAGA, Riona, and Gwynbleidd.

Look, I can't stand most of these people either, but I think the real issue here is just garbage communication on this forum. Someone cracks a joke, someone else takes it way too seriously, and suddenly everyone's throwing accusations around.
Then we end up in these pointless arguments where half the time we don't even know what started it.

I’ve honestly walked away from conversations before just because some guy had a ridiculous avatar and I decided he was a moron, so there's no point in wasting my breath. 🤦

Look, depending on how nasty the argument gets, they won't tolerate that kind of behavior here either. If you’ve got an issue, just lay it out on the table and let’s have a real discussion about it, but honestly, all I've seen so far is just people chatting away.

Yeah, exactly. It’s the same story all across the USA.
Every single thread turns into a petty back-and-forth or just random chatter after about ten minutes.

Shadow is actually putting in the work, but still:

It hit me that we could really use a dedicated thread where we can vent our own stuff and just leave the other topics alone.
There’s clearly a need to get things off our chests without ruining everyone's mood in the main chat.

Figure out what works best. I'm not going to waste my breath arguing with the mods. 😳

No hard feelings, but my take on you is that you love playing the victim.
It's obvious you don't like me when we talk. Beyond that, you constantly ignore me, so it makes perfect sense that I'd vent a little if you're getting on my nerves.

I ignore your posts because most of the time it's just pure frustration from people who think certain folks don't belong in America according to them. All that talk about how happy, satisfied people need to be removed. I won't dive into your reasoning, but frankly, I don't care.

I feel like arguing with you is basically trying to fix a broken compass, so I just skip it.
I steer clear of frustrated people in real life, so why would I deal with it on a forum?

I'm not mad, and yeah, I probably do give off the vibe that I'm playing dumb sometimes. I don't always realize how my posts come across. But generally speaking—and it's not just about you—when something doesn't sit right, I just hit the ignore button. I only snap out of "ignore mode" when things pile up to the point where they look like straight-up nonsense from where I'm sitting.

I only recently started getting frustrated with the paired-up crowd, but whatever.

It's fine if you walk away. Nobody is forcing you to join discussions you don't like.
I'll admit lately a lot of stuff has been getting on my nerves, but keep in mind 99% of it is just messing around. 😬

I actually like Americans; otherwise, I wouldn't even bother showing up.
The fun stops when you run into people who don't get your sense of humor and start attacking you out of nowhere, leaving you wondering what the hell happened.
