Help with swelling...

My husband underwent foot surgery about four weeks ago. He’s finally starting to walk again, but the moment he spends any significant amount of time on his feet, the area around the ankle bone begins to swell. Does anyone have experience with specific topical treatments or compresses that might help manage this inflammation?

Just use some cold compresses, but don't leave them on too long—you don't want him ending up with frostbite.
