I’m looking for firsthand accounts. How do you manage the symptoms?
Does anyone here know anything about pigmentary retinopathy?
Thanks.
A friend of mine lives with Celiac disease, which is essentially an intestinal issue because the gut can't handle gluten. It means she has to stick to a strictly gluten-free diet—so no wheat flour, no cookies made with gluten, no wheat bread, no pastries containing wheat flour, no pasta made from wheat flour... Honestly, if you accidentally eat something like that, you won't die; at worst, you'll deal with some cramping and bloating before things settle down again. Basically, when you're grocery shopping, you just have to become an expert at reading labels to check for gluten content. You can live a perfectly normal life with this; you just have to be somewhat disciplined about your food choices.
