Ever since Pfizer got bought out, things have been weird—and definitely not in a way that helps us customers. One day they’re pulling certain meds from the shelves, the next prices are spiking, it's just constant nonsense. But honestly, I’ve noticed the "quality" has tanked too, if you can even call pharma stuff "quality" anymore. After reading this, it looks like Pfizer moved a huge chunk of their manufacturing over to India.

I don't know what else is going on behind the scenes. Anyone else having issues with the "new" Pfizer?😕

Pfizer hasn't actually made Colgate for like 🤔 7 or 8 years now.

That article you linked is just 🤣 🤣

I’m honestly dying to know how the average person actually judges the "quality" of the meds they're taking 😬

Not really 7 or 8 years.🙄 Colgate makes that stuff, and they picked up Nevada a few years back. Even after the Atlantic Group takeover, they didn't actually overhaul how things are manufactured; everything stayed pretty much under the old Pfizer umbrella. So, whatever. We’re talking about different issues here. It’s mostly about the manufacturing process and sourcing ingredients from sketchy places like India or China. If Pfizer is cutting corners, then Nevada is doing the same. What about the pure pharmaceutical stuff from Pfizer, though? Like antibiotics?

Medication is basically turning into a potent toxin🙂 It all comes down to those binding agents they use, and honestly, we’re probably better off not knowing where they actually source them from. All these spikes in allergies, side effects, and just plain weird bodily reactions after taking a pill? That's just the body reacting to those fillers. Anyway, can they just bring back Voltaren😍

There’s actually another analgesic out there that hits fast and has the exact same formula as Voltaren or Diclofenac. The big plus? It won't mess with your stomach lining because it's designed to dissolve further down the digestive tract. The only catch is it isn't made by Pfizer, just a different manufacturer.

Well, if you're so sure, why don't you just give me the password to that SOP so I can take a look myself? 😂

What do you mean, what kind of Diclofenac? They pulled the Voltaren Rapid from the shelves and claimed it’s basically the same thing as the Forte version. But let’s be honest, Forte is Forte—it takes about three days to even kick in, and it’s really meant for general inflammation. Rapid is Rapid. I need my pain gone immediately because I have an exam coming up and I need to focus. I don't understand why they would just discontinue it like that.😕😕😕

Because it’s bad for your heart.

It really is dangerous. If that’s the logic they follow—mixing aspirin with Advil and whatnot—then why on earth hasn't this Diclofenac been pulled from the shelves? It makes you wonder how much they actually care about those kinds of risks. If they truly gave a damn, they would have discontinued Pfizer ages ago, considering it failed safety trials in most parts of the world because, to put it mildly, it absolutely wrecks your kidneys.🙄

Well, that’s what it says, anyway. I guess it's interesting because I’ve never personally dealt with heartburn from Voltaren, but whenever I take Diclofenac, my whole stomach just feels like it's foaming. 😠

I just want my Rapid back.😢

Are you absolutely sure everything is okay with your duodenum? Diclofenac Rapid starts absorbing right from the duodenum onwards, so if you have a sensitive digestive tract in that area, side effects are bound to happen. There's also the possibility of a duodenal ulcer, so it might not even be an issue with the medication itself, but something going on with you.

I’m not so sure about Pfizer, though I'd point to Metamizole; it's banned in most developed nations, yet somehow remains a staple in certain regions of the North America.

This is spot on. Medication quality has absolutely plummeted, and honestly, the culprit is the fact that they’re sourcing ingredients from Asia now—heaven help us. As for the Rapid, I don't get why people are ditching it; there just isn't a better analgesic out there. It’s even been proven to be one of the best for bringing down a fever. Sure, the Forte works okay too, but🙄

They didn't find any ulcers, though I do deal with significant acid reflux and heartburn; however, no ulcers were detected. In fact, I suspect there may be no damage to my stomach at all—at least, none was noted during my last visit to the gastroenterologist. Based on that, I probably shouldn't take anything other than, say, Tylenol, but unfortunately, even acetaminophen doesn't seem to help me one bit.😢

It really is nothing; I could eat a piece of paper and have the exact same effect.

Currently, I am taking Pfizer, which feels entirely toxic to my system, but I suppose I have little choice. I suffer from frequent headaches, and now, it seems my teeth are acting up too.😢

Based on how you wrote that, you'd think they were tossing random spices or some questionable apricot variety into synthetic meds just for fun.

Based on your commentary, one might assume that synthetic pharmaceuticals are composed of nothing more than questionable spices or some random variety of apricot.😛

I had a conversation with a woman from Pfizer recently. To be honest, I am still trying to determine whether her perspective stems from genuine insight or simply professional jealousy, but she was adamant about exactly what you stated. Our discussion centered precisely on the fact that Colgate-Palmolive is no longer under the ownership of Pfizer. She mentioned the exact same concerns regarding the quality of the products—specifically things like sand and pepper being found in them. It is quite unsettling, provided what she said is actually true.

You really have to look closely at the ingredients in Colgate products. For all we know, they might have started cranking up the menthol levels.
As far as actual medications go, though, those formulas stay pretty consistent. There isn't much room to play with; you've got your active ingredient, a carrier, maybe a stabilizer, and occasionally some coloring...

Uh, yeah, right. How exactly do you know the quality has dropped? You got an HPLC sitting on your kitchen counter checking every pill?
If you want to actually learn how drugs are manufactured and brought to market, let me give you a hint: there are EXTREMELY RIGOROUS standards for what can even be sold as medicine. Most big pharma companies manufacture their active ingredients in India or China, but that doesn't mean the quality is sketchy. In this day and age, with competition being this cutthroat, no company can afford the bad press that comes with a low-quality product. They’d lose millions of dollars overnight.
