And honestly, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It isn't just about Porto; there are suspicions swirling around Benfica, Estrela da Amadora, Nacional, Maritimo, Beira Mar, and Boavista too. We're even looking at potential fixes in 15 different second-division matches!

To me, this is just more proof that football is slowly circling the drain. It's depressing. I guess all that massive media coverage and social hype has actually backfired—the sport is being suffocated by various interest groups and lobbies. This level of corruption isn't normal anymore.

Scandals don't discriminate. France has its reputation for shady business, the Italians showed us exactly how messy things get when nobody knows who's pulling the strings—and frankly, they didn't learn a damn thing even after Calciopoli. Over in England, managers are under fire for suspicious transfer dealings, and in Germany, you had the whole Hoyzer mess and those Shapin brothers running their own little schemes...

I won't even get started on the absolute greed-driven reality of European football.

Football is run by these committees who only care about safe bets. They don't want some underdog like Monaco making it to the Champions League final. They want everything so predictable they’d probably bribe a ref just to keep things "safe."
But even then, there's always a way out. Sometimes the big fish still get caught in the net...

It’s always the same mix of shady lobbyists, massive bribes used to sweep things under the rug, and that ancient, dirty rule of "might makes right". What they’re exposing is nothing compared to what's actually happening behind the scenes. Honestly, Roberto Baggio was probably the closest thing we had to someone telling the truth when he said you shouldn't root for anyone—just watch the game for the sake of playing it.🤷

Look, I get worked up sometimes, sure, but I'm not gonna be stuck in a coma for two days after a loss like some of those smaller clubs would have been. Just let me be. At the end of the day, I just remind myself that those soft losers are getting their massive paychecks regardless.
