Anyone else deal with ovarian pain?

Man, I was seriously dying today from ovarian pain. My period isn't even due until around March 23rd. I have no clue why it’s hitting me this hard—I couldn't sit down or even walk straight without constantly shifting around... it felt absolutely brutal, like someone had literally tied weights to them.
This is maybe the second or third time it's been this bad, but honestly, I think this is the worst one yet. I went to see my OB-GYN last time it flared up like this and they just told me everything looked fine, no inflammation or anything, but nothing showed up on the tests while I was sitting there losing my mind from the pain.
By the way, I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time at the start of the month and we've hooked up a few more times since, always using protection. So I really don't get what could be causing this.
Has anyone else dealt with something similar?

Sounds like you're ovulating. That hits me pretty hard too, though usually just on one side.

Joking aside, it’s either a straight-up infection or just those brutal cramps you get when your hormones go haywire during PMS.
If it’s an infection, you're stuck with antibiotics. If it’s just the hormones, you either pop a pill or fix your diet.

Look, you gotta give her credit here. Seriously, if you were using protection, there’s basically zero chance anything happened. Unless, of course, your guy has terrible gum disease or some chronic tonsillitis and you both happen to be big into oral sex. Then you might have an issue.

I’m in the same boat—the pain becomes absolutely unbearable. It usually hits me in the evening and then just lingers until morning. Honestly, I have no idea what triggers it. I always find myself thinking maybe it’s just a lingering cold, so I’ll brew some chamomile tea, but that doesn't really do much to solve anything either.

I've read a million times that there are way more bacteria in your mouth than in a vagina.

So, if people actually sat down and started counting every single microbe in their mouths—even without symptoms—I doubt anyone would ever risk an "adventure" involving oral sex... yet everyone jumps right in anyway.

Well, yeah, but that’s exactly why it works that way! Since there's less bacteria in the vagina normally, it’s probably much more sensitive to those aggressive bacteria coming from the mouth. It just makes sense.
There’s also this thing called yeast, which you find in bread and stuff like that, and apparently, it can settle "down there" if some guy doesn't bother brushing his teeth after dinner.🤷

lol nah, we’re both totally fine. we’ve been together 15 months and were best friends for three years before that, so honestly, we know each other better than we know ourselves. besides, we don't really do oral that much—out of the four times we've slept together, we've done it once. either way, we're good, so it's definitely not that.
And we're each other's first.

But nope, everything turned out fine, thank God.

If you aren't having other issues, it’s probably just ovulation; the timing checks out.

Or maybe you just caught a cold, or your hormones are completely out of whack.
Could be a cyst, too. I mean, how would we even know?

As the ladies above mentioned, it’s ovulation. Some deal with pain, while others don't feel a thing. I didn't experience any discomfort until I developed an ovarian infection. Since then, every single month, I have this sensation like my right ovary is just going to burst. 😢 😉

See, I do have a tilted uterus, but my ovaries don't usually act up like this, so I didn't think that was the culprit. Now my lower back is killing me too... might just be PMS hitting me hard. 🙂
