Hey everyone,
I’m not even sure how to put this into words, but I’ve been dealing with some really weird blood pressure swings lately and wanted to see if anyone else has gone through something similar.
Basically, my numbers bounce from totally normal to sky-high—sometimes hitting 170. The frustrating part is there's no pattern; one time it’s my systolic that’s through the roof, the next it’s my diastolic, and it just keeps shifting.
But honestly, that’s not even the strangest part. My readings vary depending on which arm I use, except it’s never the same arm twice (?!?). One minute the left side is higher, then the next it’s the right, and vice versa!!!
To give you an idea, my pressure can plummet from 170/100 to 130/80 in about twenty minutes.
Some people tell me it could be a thyroid issue, while others swear it’s psychosomatic. Personally, I’m leaning away from the stress explanation—if it were purely physical, wouldn't it stay elevated constantly?
The whole thing with the arms is just ridiculous to me. Like, how can it be high on the left one time and then high on the right the next? WHAT THE FUCK?
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this happening?
